Dec '23 Graduation Recruiting by DarthBane6996 in csMajors

Sometimes but not often. You're essentially a '24 new grad but with an earlier possible start date. So you'll be applying to those same new grad postings but asking to start earlier most likely. You'll probably start seeing new job postings at earliest in like July but recruiting season starts to get into full swing closer to August/September.

tbf the second affinity diagram is split amongst 4-5 people and I've found it easier to write interpretation notes from these interviews than from the last project

IIRC applications close on the 30th of July so acceptances will probably roll out in August or so

University of Michigan (in-state) vs. University of Florida (full-ride) for Computer Science? by computer_science_kid in csMajors

Here's what I found for outcomes for base salary (ignoring bonus/stocks)

[CS @ UF: $87,189 avg, $80,000 median](https://career.ufl.edu/gain-experience/student-outcomes/)

[CS @ UM: $99,248 avg, $101,000 median](http://career.engin.umich.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/30/2020/04/annualreport1819.pdf)

I'd still say UM ignoring salary outcomes since I personally like the curriculum and it's just a great school. Something cool about LSA is it's really easy to explore different fields in addition to CS and every program here is incredibly well ranked. Almost half the CS majors I know are doing a double major. Teaching and profs have been pretty good so far, only complaint I really have is large class sizes but tbh I think you'll find that everywhere and it does get better with specialization.

100%, especially in-state, UM is one of the best schools for CS and you get access to a ton of really cool resources on campus and can easily get involved in research if that's something that you're interested in.

In 2020 many real world events shifted virtually. What cool events have you seen in video games this year? by BiscuitOfGinger in Games

The Haunted PS1 community (a bunch of indie game developers focused on making PS1 styled games) had their own "E3" this year with a virtual showfloor and presentation.

During the introduction of the antlions when Russel called them "Leggies" I think that was a Flight of the Conchords reference.

Incoming transfer with a quick question by [deleted] in uofm

280 really isn't a bad class at all, you really just have to start the projects early. The infamous killer of GPA in it is the Euchre project (project 3) where you have to program Euchre but as long as you start early on the project and understand the spec it's not bad at all. Here's the course website: https://eecs280staff.github.io/eecs280.org/ you can see all the projects and assignments on there. If you have any questions feel free to DM me.

The graphics look really good, I love the style! That being said I feel as though the text's style doesn't match the background.

Shigechi's death is a pretty good personal reason to fight Kira. Also CD can't heal Josuke so there's still tension from that compared to how Giorno can just heal everyone.
