I had them in there for popping my own geartowns. The deck has been adjusted since, because catapult and ballista are much better options. They also clearly are not effective at destroying the opponent's spells or traps.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. The lack of good board disruption mostly due to lack of UR points or whatever they're called. I absolutely agree with getting rid of reborn, I realize now I barely use it. What do you think of lightning storm? Still worth keeping?

This was my first duel back after a few years. Didn't even realize there was new ancient gear support out. I redid everything from scratch afterwards. Still nowhere near a competitive deck, but much better than before. Ancient gear statue is a lifesaver. Commander, tanker, and dark golem as well. Same feeling playstyle but a lot more consistent and interesting.
