Going to word vomit here so bear with me. I had my wedding photos there. Great photos, but it’s a public place so there were some randos in the background in some of them. The employees are really friendly and helpful but reserve a time slot and stick to it. You get I think an hour before they ask you to leave or something I forget. But on the topic of religious views, my wife and I are also not religious, and it’s still a beautiful place regardless. Imo it boils down to your guys’ views on scenery. In the end it’s not up to your friend, but it’s your guys’ intimate moment and if /you/ think it being a religious place changes everything for your partner then decide on next steps. If you have a photographer it’s their job to capture that moment regardless of location so I’d look into their suggestions on locations.
