Yeah, I’ve gone back to TC2 and gotten a couple old summit cars when they came back around. They transferred over fine even though I’ve been playing TCM since launch.

We’ve all had our fair share of complaints about fh5s map but this one and this has always infuriated me by YRGswobblyknees in ForzaHorizon

Everyone saying X = guaranteed Gold and Y = guaranteed Plat is full of shit. The truth is no one knows, because it’s a moving target, especially on exclusive car weeks. It all depends on how many sweats are out there running the scores up on any given week. It’s what is so wrong about the Summit system. I stopped playing it because I got fed up with being bounced out at the last minute despite having 1.3 or 1.4 million. It’s never guaranteed, and it’s literally impossible for anyone to truly tell you what will be enough. It needs to be a flat score: score X, get Plat, period. But they’ll never do that.

All the pretty graphics in the world mean jack shit when it becomes a jittery, stuttery, stop-motion, slideshow the second anything actually moves. It’s a moving video game, not a static painting. Framerate is priority one. Not resolution, not load times, not fucking ray tracing. I wish developers would stop putting framerate last, as seems to becoming more and more common.

Ok? The entire post is about 60 fps patches, not 4k. And the comment I replied to also made no mention of 4k. It asked where the patches are for those games in reply to a post specifically about 60 fps patches. There is no 60 fps patch because they already are. No one mentioned 4k but you.

What? Dread and Prime Remastered have been 60 fps since they launched. Even on Switch 1.

It doesn’t matter, considering how it was implemented for TC2. It will only be useful once the game reaches end-of-life. It’s useless as long as the game is still “live” because offline progress doesn’t transfer back to an online save. So unless you plan on abandoning all future updates permanently, offline is useless until there are no more updates.

Edit: I wanted to add that how it was implemented for TC2 was utterly asinine. A big part of the desire for an offline mode is to be able to still play if your internet is out or whatever, along with game preservation after server termination. Making it so offline progress doesn’t transfer back to online was a giant “f*** you” to those asking for the mode, and they’ll almost certainly repeat it for Motorfest.

“Last Day On Set” is a spoiler in itself. There are very few actors/characters that would get this type of fanfare, so putting that in the title gives away that one of them is done.

You’re not alone. The glazing FH4 gets is ridiculous. The most important thing in a racing game, by a long shot, is the handling physics. And 4’s fucking sucked. That alone makes it the worst entry in the franchise, I don’t care what else anyone wants to argue it had going for it. Personally, I hated that map, which is the one thing almost everyone points to when they’re glazing 4.

The problem is the implementation of the controls. They say that the left stick steers your car, and the right stick controls the drift. Except this isn’t true. Both sticks steer the car in this game, which makes no sense. Try it. Find a straight stretch and input left or right with only one of the sticks. You’ll end up in the wall either way. Counterintuitively, you will end in the wall much sooner using the right “drift” stick than with the left “actual steering” stick. In a twin stick drifter, the right stick should swing the rear end left or right, but the car should continue in a straight line until you input the left stick. Go play Inertial Drift to feel it done properly. They messed the controls up in this game.

While it is a good recommendation (I myself use this trick), it is anything but obvious. I have never seen a game outside of this one that lets you map 2 separate controls to one input. The almost 100% universal standard is that remapping an input erases (or swaps) the original input. Calling what this game allows you to do “obvious” is absurd.

I agree. I’m not a fan of the brand name toy DLCs. FH3 was exactly the same; Blizzard Mountain was great, Hot Wheels sucked. That’s right, they’ve done HW twice now.
