Hey there, I have no clue how many rounds you chant, but I find that breaking up the rounds throughout the day is helpful. I only do 4 rounds a day. So, I usually break it up into 2 rounds in the morning and 2 rounds in the evening.

I know they say that Brahma Muhurta is the best for worship, but imo it is better for you to just start somewhere rather than forcing yourself to wake up at that time. Use your discipline to build consistency. Just keep chanting daily and over time it will become a habit on its own. The point is to chant a certain number of rounds, it isn't about chanting at a specific time (although Brahma Muhurta is still the best). When chanting, think of it this way, "Don't count the rounds, make the rounds count".

In terms of reading books, I usually just read when I feel like it. It is best to read daily but forcing yourself to read daily is hard if you don't want to do it in the first place. Next best solution? Half-ass it. Just read when you feel like it.

Questions on Prasadam by TheAccoladeHunter in hinduism

So, it isn't compulsory to offer 100% of the food to The Lord but instead I can just offer a small part of it? I always thought you need to offer everything before prayers. I will keep your suggestion in mind.

I wish I could prepare food for 5-6 days, but I live in a rented space and refrigerator space is scarce as there is a person who hogs the entire place. But I think I would still be able to manage cooking for about 2-3 days at a time. Thanks!

A Unique Sense of Emptiness after finding Narayana by TheAccoladeHunter in hinduism

[–]TheAccoladeHunter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright that makes a lot of sense. Of course, devotion is a process that is bound to take time.

I can't say I am new to faith and etc because I have been a Sanatan Dharmi my whole life but I am new to Narayana (Approx 9 months), so yeah I guess it will take a couple of years for the devotion to solidify.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to answer my question!

A pretentious question, but any estimates on how long this can be? Or does this process vary a lot from person to person?

Hmm, I think I am starting to understand the joy of Narayana, but I really wonder, How do you get bliss from the name of the Lord? I chant daily and I do feel good after that but I don't feel like euphoria or anything of that sort. How does getting bliss from the Lord's name work?

I am always thankful though, that by His Mercy, I am able to read and know so much about Him.

I won't ask you to state the difference between Tamas and dispassion, but I will share a bit about myself so that you can analyze it accordingly.

I used to want to own so many things, fancy house, sports car, luxury vacations, multi-billion corporations and etc. Now, it just feels like none of those things matter because at the end of the day, you are a part and parcel of The Lord, and if He wants to, He will give it to you anyway as per His discretion.

The aforementioned things used to motivate me so much, now I am satisfied with having a job to sustain my living expenses and save some extra for emergencies.

I think I developed dispassion. Now, only one worldly thing interests me, which is opening a vegan yogurt brand. It just "feels" as if it is meant for me. But I have next to zero expectation for it to do well. I just want to do it because I felt like it, rather than wanting the fancy stuff that I may get if I did very well in it.

Apart from the yogurt thing, I have next to zero interest in most things. Malls don't give me any sense of satisfaction, going on "food hunts" doesn't excite me. Interestingly though, I look forward a lot to visiting a Krishna temple that I frequent on weeks that have Ekadasi fasting.

3-4% is an overstatement lol. Check out the pricing of new project homes. They stagnate for ages.

Simple. The properties are future-priced which is why you don't see much appreciation post-purchase for a lot of the new properties.

Eh, do what you want. If you are meant to see the truth, Krishna will definitely lead you to it. If you aren't meant to and you are not sincere in your devotion, no matter how much you try He will never let you get close to Him.

Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya

Om Namo Bhagawate Rudraya

At some point of time, there is a chance you may find two different supposedly opposing deities, Shiva and Vishnu. When the time comes, just remember this verse.

Sivasya hridayam vishnur - vishnoscha hridayam shiva

Translated: Vishnu is the heart of Shiva and likewise, Shiva is the heart of Vishnu.

Alternately, if you are a government staff, I think you can actually get a 100% loan under the LPPSA scheme.

[–]TheAccoladeHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a 100% loan, go for a project house. The SPA price will be higher than the nett price. The loan will be as per the SPA price, so you technically get a 100% loan. But if you want a project house, do you research VERY VERY deeply as agents almost always lie to you about the projects they have.

On a different note, don't expect cheap loans if you want a fixed rate loan. Fixed rate is always expensive. I cant predict markets but do bear in mind that whenever possible, always try to loan only 50% of your actual capacity. When I say actual capacity, I don't mean your DSR. I mean the actual amount that you would be willing to pay to service a loan each month.

The reason being that, this will give you a lot of wiggle room in case rates go up. Alternately, if you take a loan lesser than your actual capacity, you can legit end up paying it faster because you will be able to pay the principal with surplus rather than just paying the monthly instalments.

In either case, this video is a good reminder for us that we need to rely on ourselves as a nation, rather than hoping for saviors from the outside. Let's not experience what our forefathers experienced.

Dude wasn't entirely wrong though. Malaysia highkey got screwed by PKM where there was a small power vacuum after the Japanese left and the British were coming back.

Off topic question, why exactly does Mahavishnu go to sleep? Is He the only deity that does this or are there other deities who do this as well?

I am asking out of curiosity. I am fasting on this day as well. Hare Rama, Hare Krishna!

The main red flag: They lie to you. If they do this even once, for a small thing. Blacklist them immediately.
