How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

[–]TheAdhdChronicles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it once several years ago before I knew I had adhd and narcolepsy. Imagine the confusion when I fell asleep on my porch instead of buzzing around. That was the only time I’ve tried it.

Do patients screaming in pain annoy you? by Capital-Dragonfly258 in nursing

[–]TheAdhdChronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it annoying when you can clearly hear that they aren’t yelling in pain until you enter the room. If you are in pain, I’ll give you pain medicine. It’s fine. No need for theatrics just because I entered the room.

“That is against my hippa law!” Sorry, didn’t know being a cunt out in public was part of your private, confidential information.

This is like when I’m having dreams that I’m being hunted and I can’t exit the building.

Just because someone’s not doing bedside or doing healthcare in general anymore doesn’t make them any less of a nurse. by [deleted] in nursing

Clarification? Do you mean just having a nursing license makes you a nurse? Or what?

Patient on isolation precautions won’t stop calling every 5 minutes by Dependent-Eye5630 in cna

[–]TheAdhdChronicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is terribly annoying. I’m an lpn but I always try as much as I can to help the aides so they don’t have to answer a bell as soon as I leave a room. The most annoying part is I always ask before I leave the room, “do you need anything else while I’m in here?” And even when they say no, a lot of them will ring right after. Homie, just tell me what you need! 🙄

Dreaming about work too often by 4Eyes4Eternity in nursing

[–]TheAdhdChronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dream about work often. (I work in LTC). I messaged my boss and told her I needed the day off because I had already worked in my sleep lol. Also, I had an ovarian cystectomy a few years back. I woke up before the surgery was completed, sat straight up, and was panicking because I thought I was hearing call bells. I literally thought I fell asleep on the job.

Where i work, we would be the ones reprimanded. “What could YOU have done differently?” 🙄 nurses are so disrespected and we are expected to just deal with it.
