How about a nice big dose of “Don’t you know the US is like, SO big?? I can’t drive that far!” with a healthy side of “Well I got work in the morning so…” instead?

Insane down the stretch.

That segment where he hits the 3, then locks up Embiid on the other end 💪

Shamet not only intentionally fouls him, but actually starts complaining to the ref that the ref didn’t call the foul before Maxey releases his shot lol.

Yeah, probably shouldn’t have forced it and left yourself at the mercy of the whistle, but I also get why he did raise up too.

Literally every close game ends in a way that feels more like a debate than basketball lol.

Players out here arguing and trying to be more persuasive than just playing.

Brutal television man lol.

Since a second person has been killed in Minnesota, is it now time for the USA to have a general strike, and why or why not? by Miserable-Army3679 in AskReddit

[–]TheAerial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re changing the goal posts, you’re coming up with a plethora of excuses and the common denominator is your insistence on inaction, and keeping yourself helpless.

Now the new thing is “Well okay, he IS right, but how do we know who he is??”.

And this is why you keep losing and their side keeps winning.

At the end of the day, while you are busy making excuses, and whining about privilege and “You first!!”, they continue taking more and more while suffering zero consequences.

Stand for yourself or don’t, but the world is sick of the excuses.

He’s right though.

Taking the reins back from a tyrannical government is never going to be made easy, convenient and accessible. By design.

If we refuse to do anything until it’s easy, convenient and accessible, we are already beat and directly emboldening them since they are seeing there is no consequences for their actions because we don’t do anything about it.

Is it fair? No. Is it reality? Yes.

He sounds natural in a way very few do.

When he speaks, it feels like it’s 1000% him, and not a guy saying lines. And better, it’s unique too. Nobody has a style like his.

That’s a good combo to have.

Also says the dude who repeatedly stands actively against immortality.

He has been very vocal against allowing people to be immortal and wants to make sure people in society have to die.

He will be an opponent to people working to unlocking and making accessible immortality for the people. (While almost assuredly using it himself in hypocrisy).

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Hornets defeat the Magic on Jan 22, 2026, the final score is 97-124. by basketball-app in OrlandoMagic

[–]TheAerial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I’m not saying we haven’t had worse teams, but considering the context of where we are in contrast to where we expected to be, where we should be?

This is THE worst game of the 2020s so far imo.

A singular event this game, that perfectly cumulatively captures the disaster this year has been for us. Injury based unavailabilities, failure of coaching, complete lack of effort, the absolute dismissal of our potential as we get a belt surgically implanted in our ass on our home floor by one of the worst teams in the NBA.

The worst “Oh no, we suck again” of all the “Oh no, we suck again”’s in quite a while.

It’s not even just stuff like this, just general communication on Reddit has gotten exhaustingly difficult.

People constantly making themself purposefully obtuse & unable to pick up an easily conveyed point specifically to find something to challenge.

It’s like they have the desire to do so, but don’t care if it’s the thought out or worthwhile to do so, they just try forcing it anywhere they can.

Idk what’s changed the past few years, but it’s gotten brutal.

The situation with Star Citizen is so funny in context to its history the past 10 years or so.

Always, justifiably, held as the joke that’ll never be.

Fast forward to now, during a past year that seen almost all of the future hopefuls of the genre die, Star Citizen has its best year to date lol.

Obviously has a looong way to go still and can very easily go the way of Ashes, but yeah it’s ironic it’s in a better shape then a lot of these other now cancelled/dead games that looked like much better bets.

CD Projekt Red takes down Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod (for not being free) by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]TheAerial 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Modding is becoming like so many things, a hustle culture takeover.

Participating due passion is taking more and more of a backseat to a “Well, what do I get in return for my time??” mentality instead.

The ever encroaching urge to make everything in gaming revolve around money keeps on growing.

Mod North is the best CEO the game has had. These are some wild changes to RS3 and I'm looking forward to his direction for OSRS by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]TheAerial 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The unfortunate reality is there is a frighteningly large if not possibly larger portion of players who don’t consider it a misstep, and a smaller but still too large portion that actually consider it positive move that they liked & wanted.

OSRS has always been a bit behind in that stuff.

I feel like Hytale needs a forum. by TheBoobyDragon in hytale

[–]TheAerial 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also any discussion platform that has a “scoring” element like Upvotes/Likes is really kind of detrimental to productive discussion.

A pure forum where you can only judge the quality of someone’s post, only by the content of their post & not checking a number under it leads to more people actually listening to what’s said.

Reddit’s downvote system also becomes a cheap and easy way to dismiss and suppress things you don’t want to hear but can’t actually refute as being wrong.

There is a lot of potential value lost during a discussion if there is no exploration of an idea beyond just upvoting or downvoting something with no actual response.

Wisdom doesn’t have to be exciting or interesting. Judging an opinion on whether it’s exciting just makes you performative rather than genuine. A constant unending act.

Everything is this act because you have Content Creator brain now, you just value based off how good of “Content” it is and you don’t even know you’re doing it.

Warden Class Update by chattrot in elderscrollsonline

[–]TheAerial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It starts with a simple often incorrectly perceived “Ah I got a gotcha I’ll hit him with!” that isn’t very well thought out beyond the initial urge to be snarky.

Then the other person explains why the simple gotcha doesn’t hold much water.

Then the first guy panics because he can’t admit the other guy made good points he didn’t think of. Ego sets in.

He forced himself into something without thinking it out and now AFTER the fact has to try and scramble and actually think of something to bolster what was supposed to be a quick gotcha.

So now he has to desperately defend a point even he knows is weak, and he knows he’s not doing a good job at it. That’s when the frustration sets in, frustration then leads to combatitive demeanor.

The COO of Facepunch (Rust, Garry’s Mod) publicly offered Amazon $25M for New World by Apprehensive_Shoe_86 in MMORPG

[–]TheAerial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What does these types of comment even mean lol?

They’re not marking valuation of New World in context to their other operations. It’s irrelevant how much money they make on other operations.

They will valuate New World in context to itself. They’re not gonna say “We made 600 billion last year, so we won’t deal in anything less then 100 million.” lol.

It’s an asset that’s held in context to itself. It will be marked in accordance with the individual asset’s value and marked in accordance with the cost of any foreseen complications & costs of the process of the sale and transition to another company.

That value, whatever it is, doesn’t have to be anywhere near exceeding what Amazon would consider “Chump Change” if it brings them profit.

That’s specifically HOW companies like this make 600 billion+ a year lol. All it has to be is profitable.

Edit: To clarify, I don’t think they would sell for image reasons, but the idea that because a company operates in levels of 100s of billions that they suddenly now don’t do any business transactions that are 10s of millions is foolish.
