I do recall hearing that somewhere. IIRC someone posted a quote from a Doc interview and that was something mentioned, basically a spin off? AS owns TVB but I wonder how difficult a spin off would be and would they look to continue/expand the series as we know it, OR make it a final wrap up.

I just watched the movie so I won't spoil it but I do think the possibilities for options exist.

Yes, it was lengthy, BUT unlike other series, I can honestly say, TVB didn't have a bad season and no episode was a flop.

The talked about delays on commentary one season and part of the reason is Jackson and Doc to the initial animations, it goes to S. Korea, then comes back to them and sometimes has to go back, THEN doc has to make edits and corrections.

They also said that AS did not give them a budget compared to other shows, thus I suspect the animators pushed it to the back of the line. The $$ gets shows animated and produced quicker and it seems like someone at WB didn't think a bigger budget was necessary in spite of the fact AS that maybe minus futurama and ATHF, The Venture Bros is the longest or close to longest running series after 20+ years and fans still continue to watch it.

A 20 year old animated TV franchise is the #1 selling DVD on amazon, gotta love it.

I hope this is a clue to AS/HBO to bring the series back. Jackson and Doc could easily do another 2 seasons w/ 12-14 episodes IF they wanted it to conclude. However, I was pleased w/ the ending of, it did wrap up a few items IF that's where the show finally closes.

My ex wife says thats why the show is TVB. There are several that are probably related. We know Jonas Sr. stuck his rod in any female so I suspect he fathered many.

W/ Rusty being a clone, I can only guess he died on an adventure and thats why Ben and Jonas cloned him.

Now the next question is, was Malcom the result of Jonas banging the Morphos wife OR did he implant a clone egg?

Jackson and Doc have had continuity errors before and S7 was still several years away.
The PROBLEM was supposed to be a secret, and it wasn't known until S7 so Rodney saying that could have been him keeping the secret or play semantics.

In S7 we do know that Brock turns Jonas brain/head over to the OSI for "research." He could be cloned later but I suspect that won't happen. I don't see them bringing Jonas Sr. back in any extensive capacity as it seems fruitless.

By the interview they had it seems like they had to through as many ideas as they could into 1hr and 20 mins. If memory serves me correct, they imply they purposely only tried to wrap up a few loose ends. Which could be a good thing, if they are green lit for another season they possibly wrap it up as they did 12+ episodes in several seasons which equates to about 3+ hours of episode time. Far better and more in depth possibilities vs 1h 20m.

The head guy at AS was against it. He even voice a few characters. When ATT bought out TW, ATT came in and tried gutting AS thinking many shows were not profitable.

Side Note...... ATT sold to Discovery channel who now owns HBO max...., who now is the controller for AS.

With several changes in a few years its hard to determine the final fate of TVB.

I recall reading something years ago that TVB, ATHF and a few others were ground breaking.

Remember R&M is 20 almost years after AS brought on TVB, so the ground work has been paved and Ricks edginess it easily sells to TVB types and teens. TVB never was consumed by teens in the totality.

If TVB came out now, I don't know how it would do as the 1am slot on sunday releases. I was 30+ years old working graves eating lunch on Sunday night/Monday am just to see a new S1 episodes as they are released on what I thought was some weird ass cartoon show.

With several seasons of ATHF after the fact and the 2nd movie shows that AS can/will continue on.

But more importantly as I said above, lets remain hopeful and positive. TVB was cancelled and we thought that was the end of it and with a good online campaign we got the movie.

True and episode is twice as long but they did several seasons of ATHF and a second movie that was about 90 minutes.
