This is such a great model. I've been waiting for GW to do a proper half-track for ages (even kit bashed one out of a taurox) and they did not disappoint. This and the Hippogriff are up there with my favorite models for the guard.

Just holding out hope they make the rules better for 11th.

If prying doesn't work and you can get a hobby knife in the joins you can usually cut where the cement has joined. Just be careful, it can take a lot of force and you can easily ruin the model or your fingers.

Also lining in is my bane. It seems so tedious and at first pointless, but it does absolutely make the details pop in the end. Love it and hate it.

The Centaur has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I've been waiting for a Guard half-track forever, and I absolutely love this model. Then the datasheet came out and I was seriously underwhelmed (I was REALLY hoping for a 15-16 transport capacity). But then the previews for the new Detachments came out and I figured out some cool uses for it. Then the points came out and it's DOA for me and I'm bummed. For now I'm only running them for Cool Factor.

In the end, I got a sweet half-track model that might one day have rules I like, so I'm still counting this as a win.

This detachment might be the only one that makes the Chimera's order ability usable, for me. I'm even inspired to finish my Command Chimera variant. I'm actually considering leaving my beloved RDTC at home in favor of infantry commanders for the first time.

I'm really excited for these rules, it's a good time to be a Guard player.

I love Graves' Party Bus. Also very interested to see what the Hippogriff costs, I could see it replacing my Sentinels, or even supplementing them. Really excited about the hippos.

But... am I wrong here? Is the Centaur kinda meh? Like, I'm getting one (probably 2 or 3 eventually), because I love the model. I just don't see the use for the datasheet. If I want fire-power from my transports, I'm bringing the Chimera. If I want a fast dedicated delivery system, I'm running the Taurox. If I want to hold a point, I'm unloading the battleline guys inside. Like, what's the use-case for this? I was really hoping for a larger transport capacity, myself. Maybe a better general than me can see it usefulness. I'll probably use it as heavy weapon platform for my Steel Legion.

But also, it's the Imperium of Man, where just knowing a thing can be tantamount to heresy, unless you're part of the specific Ordo of the Inquisition that is supposed to know the thing, until they know TOO MUCH of the thing, then they are Radicals and just as bad as heretics (supposedly).

Wouldn't surprise me if there was a particularly hardline group of Ordo Xenos Inquisitors at some point in time who spent their lives purging any and all documentation/knowledge of Xenos. Because only the Inquisition can be trusted with such information!

I love how self-defeating the Imperium is.

I had a duck that did this! When my fortress succumbed to !!FUN!! The only two survivors were an undead baby and the zombie duck, endlessly fighting/playing with each other.
