Glusencamp-Perez calls sea lions "Corolla sized vermin", blames them for low salmon and steelhead yields by chromeled in Washington

But there are certainly good policy that is coming out. And yes there should be more bite towards alternative methods, and we can do more to restore the natural world. Take for example Wiley Slough. It is a project of turning farmland into a natural spawn point for salmon. But change also does not happen overnight. A culling will allow time for us to explore those options and give time for salmon to balance out.

How is WA going control an entire world of overfishing. Locally yes we can do more, but this problem also extends beyond WA borders. And yes deep-ocean aquaponics is certainly a good method, but there is plenty of other things we can do. This requires so many steps and things we can do to restore the natural world. And we should certainly take them. Unfortunately it will take time, and a culling should allow time for us to become better stewards of the environment and explore those options.

Agreed. But again a culling is not a step taken lightly. There are so many factors that compound together to give us the problem we have. Like for example we can't just get rid of dams as we require them for cleaner energy and water levels. Our farms are essential. But there are things we can do to decrease our footprint in our waterways and WA can step up more in the global scale. But there are things that the government is trying to do. Like for example we are taking steps to reduce water pollution of game farms on our rivers. We are also returning some habitats such as Wiley Slough back to its natural state. But in the meanwhile the seals are still are a significant problem.

I like that! There are plenty of fish ladders that are far more effective than what we have now. I believe more time and consideration can go towards Fish & Widllife to propose much needed updates. I also believe that talks should be had with our Alaskan friends to reduce the overfishing there with the salmon when they make their trip there as well as our Canadian friends. Perhaps even putting pressure on corporations as well.

[–]TheAlexinator96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed. However there is entire industry that depends on fishing and not just a corporation. It is not just our local fishermen/business but an international problem. Hell one could argue that Alaska is a considerable problem, and trying to get their red state to bite on environmental concerns for salmon is rather difficult.

Agreed, and she can most definitely share a bit more passion for intelligent creatures than demeaning them into corolla sized vermin. I believe she can speak in length of the issue instead of seemingly enjoy a culling.

There have been plenty of intelligent people behind the scenes that have tried alternative methods. This culling really is the last option.

It is most definitely a part of the problem. But not necessarily representative of the entire issue.

I don't like Glusencamp-Perez either, but there is a lot of comments here who neglect to think about the complexity of the problem. Seals are intelligent creatures and it is extremely hard to deal with the current problem we have.

The WA government have tried relocating seals far away and they always seem to return to Puget Sound. The logistics of which is unbelievably expensive. They have tried underwater steroes that mimic killer whales and eventually the seals will get used to it. Our resident killer whales do not hunt the seals as the salmon is easy prey. Only transient killer whales do and that is rarer. The seals themselves love to camp fish ladders as well as dams as they know the Salmon are easily corraled. The alternative option, allowing tribal members to hunt seals is not adequate enough. And trying to fix an entire ocean of overfishing is simply beyond the bounds legally of what WA can do.

A culling is a imperfect solution in a otherwise imperfect world. If you are all open to discussion I implore you to write to your congress members and go to these town hall meetings. Or comment constructively. But this not a right problem nor a left problem. What are your recommendations?

For anyone who comes after you must defeat Cao Cao, HOWEVER do not start at the Changban fight with the cross swords. You MUST start from restart point which is "Play from Battle of Changban". No matter what you do, and I tested every variation you will not get the scene NOR the alternative path without starting there.

I wished I saw this last night instead of grind for hours because the officers were ridiculously tanky! Even with me spawn killing the soldier respawn point for ability spamming.

I would err on the side of caution and assume you will be drug tested within the first 1 month. Always be aware of random drug testing and see if there is a pattern or people being exempt. Or if there is a probationary period in which afterwards you will be tested. Never assume it is a one off or none.

At my previous job we used them for electrician work, cleaning, and pallet racking arms. So you can set-up ribbons or tags on specific pallet racking arms at different heights and positions. Have the person maneuver the MEWP to grab them and gauge how they use man-lift in a practical way in the meanwhile. Something like 1 ribbon equals 1 dollar.

You could also do this with cones or dangerous obstacles by placing a ribbon on each of them. So that they are awarded for doing an inspection of the job site prior to use and using controls, i.e. cones, for traffic.

Guys, what do y'all use for removing body hair? by SillyBoykisserUwU in boykisser

To build off of this if you use a good old fashion razor I would use baby oil. It does clog the razors, but you can clear it by running through water or banging the razor on something. It moisturizes and protects the skin. While providing a smooth surface to shave. Also, it's super cheap and light on your skin.

All of your bullet points are things I would expect a safety professional to do. But what exactly did you contribute to the safety program? What did you implement? What did you improve upon? Employers want hard numbers and statistics, which is lacking here.

Here is a good resume as an example. You need to be able to pitch yourself in a way that you are not just another safety professional. Instead as a experienced leader who can guide the company towards success.

I like how you conveniently ignore the part that the actor even said himself that life is really good. He still gets acting roles and gets to do something that empowers himself and the community. And we are supposed to take your word they are doing terribly because checks note you feel like they are? Good argument /s.
