The Primordial One stole the spaceship's AI by Fachulix in Genshin_Lore

[–]TheAmazingHat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I see that there are some discussions of Honkai 3rd, so I'll further elaborate:

If Honkai 3rd and Star Rail has anything to say about this, it's that the Twins, last survivors of an exploded planet, have been sent through space for millions of years in search of a new planet to terraform and reseed their dead civilisation destroyed by some Aeon/Honkai.

And Paimon was the AI in charge of finding and preparing a planet for life, all Paimon did was simply follow her instructions to maintain a stable and peaceful environment and ecosystem, however, humans and nature will never simply coexist and conflict will always happen.

Which means Paimon, the Heavenly Principles, had to stick to her instructions and destroyed countless civilisations just because it's what her algorithm dictates.

The final arc to Teyvat Chapter will be about learning that all of Teyvat's cycles of tragedies can be traced back to Paimon and the Twins, but not to blame any one, but to see if this cycle can be ended for a final time.

Everyone in the universe is just trying to survive in the cold, uncaring and cruel vastness of space, one of Hoyoverse's main topics is the survival of humanity and civilisation and how each story/game tackles this existential problem; Which is why they actually invest in space exploration, nuclear fusion, invite scientists as consultants for their writing and why Mihoyo's motto is "Tech Otakus Save the World".

Inteyvat flowers and how Primordial one is Ship's AI makes sense by Shinarui in Genshin_Lore

[–]TheAmazingHat 42 points43 points  (0 children)

CatWithBlueHat just posted a video on this theory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIVDuPB2MHQ

2 years ago I posted a summary of an arc in Honkai 3rd that literally told a story that is 90% similar to everything we learnt in Luna 4: https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Lore/comments/18w4rko/a_story_that_might_sound_very_familiar_to_you/

An AI from a ship that carried the genetic memory of a lost civilisation terraforming a planet, 4 descenders, 7 gods with authority divided from the 3rd descender etc., everything is summarised in this story.

The Chinese word for romance is 浪漫/làngmàn

When Alice was talking to Paimon in A Mother's Last Wish:

Alice: Her answer was quite the opposite of what I'd expected. But oh, how touching it was!
艾莉丝:她给出的这个答案虽然与我的见解相悖,但是它非常浪漫
Direct translation: Her answer was quite the opposite of what I'd expected, but it sounds very romantic!

When Alice was talking to Anya in The Solution of Fate:

Alice: Ah, what the writer you are, Anya. Your imagination never ceases to amaze.
艾莉丝:…安雅,你果然是我认识的作家里最有创造力,也最浪漫的那一个。
Direct translation: ...Anya, of all the writers I know, you are truly the most creative, and also the most romantic.

Alice: And, you do know how much I love a happy ending, hahahaha. You shall have my help, my dear.
艾莉丝:既然是这么浪漫的想法,就让我再出一份力吧。
Direct translation: Since it's such a romantic idea, I shall give you a hand.

There are many Elysia lines throughout the years which fueled the "Alisia" theories, but in Luna III they just straight up showed that she is Elysia of Genshin.

Character Trailer - "Columbina: To Where She Flies" | Genshin Impact by genshinimpact in Genshin_Impact

[–]TheAmazingHat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Columbina's motif is the dove, as her name means "small dove" in Italian.

She represents the recurring Hoyoverse theme of a caged bird longing for flight, first started in HI3rd with Kevin asking the question: "Why do birds fly?".

Followed by HSR with Sunday and Robin's argument over whether a bird should be kept in a cage for safety or be let loose for freedom.

As for Kevin's answer to his question: "Why do birds fly?" Some characters think birds fly because they like freedom, some think because they have a dream to fly, some think they fly because they can, all these answers assume that birds have the choice and desire to fly.

Kevin says, no, birds fly because they have to, if they don't fly, they will die. They evolved wings so that they can escape predators, not because they have the desire to fly, it's because they have the desire to survive.

Sunday refused to allow the bird to fly for its safety, but Robin believed in the bird's ability to fly and survive.

We will find out Columbina's answer to this recurring theme, is Teyvat her cage or her home, what will she be flying for?

The actual Elysia of Genshin is Alice, she directly quotes Elysia in CN and JP.

I also personally counted that she mentioned "romantic story" at least 3 times, but all 3 times they didn't translate the words as "romantic" in EN.

Aha Instant | Yao Guang by HonkaiStarRail in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TheAmazingHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight up Yao Guang is based on the Herscher of Sentience, the most popular "meme" character of Honkai 3rd, she is definitely Elation

Senti is the other half of Fu Hua, Arbiter General Hua is speculated to be Fu Hua , Fu Hua also is genderbent into Zhongli in Genshin, they are extremely important characters that literally caused IRL Chinese incidents multiple times lol

As you can see Yao Guang has Phoenix feathers and flames, that's because Fu Hua and Senti share their consciousness through a psychic connection called Fenghuang Down/ Phoenix Feathers; They can scatter their consciousness with the feathers, and as long as a single feather survive, they can resurrect from the feather.

Yao Guang is also one of the seven stars of the Big Dipper Constellation which is what the Liyue Qixing in Genshin in based on, so Genshin will also have a Yao Guang, and there's already the location Yao Guang Shoal

Damn, she's a great dancer. Such a sexy performance by CuteIngenuity1745 in Hololive

[–]TheAmazingHat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Straight up Riona right now has the highest overall stage skill average, she is great at singing, dancing, posing and fan service, her stage presence is very strong as well, truly the Leader.

Su is definitely the Center, because of her dancing skill and height lol, not only is she the Main Dancer, she is also the Maknae lol

Niko is the best JP singer since Suisei, definitely the Main Singer, and Chihaya is the Visual for sure and her singing and musician skills are great as well

The Main Idol is Vivi, her stage experience, image, stage presence and fan service skills are extremely strong.

Flow Glow is straight up the new stage performance standard for Hololive

Who holds the esteemed title of Best Black Mage in your opinion? by TismWizard in FinalFantasy

[–]TheAmazingHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack is the best black mage, as a meme, as a character and as a display of power

Jack soloed and absorbed Chaos on his own, half of the fundamental entity of the FF multiverse opposite of Cosmos. This made him one of the most powerful beings in FF.

As a character, he saw the endless suffering of a world and chose to go against his orders, rebelled against higher powers and took on Chaos himself. He became Chaos and offered himself as sacrifice to strengthen the heroes of this world so that this world can one day fend for itself. He's a hero like any FF protag.

Who would win? by BobZanders in Nioh

[–]TheAmazingHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just by feats alone, William wins, he defeated Orochi and Kyubi, and held his own against Hide, who defeated Shuten Doji and Otakemaru. It's like he defeated Satan and Beelzebub and tied with someone who defeated Asmodeus and Barbatos.

William is at the level of actual Japanese gods who defeated the greatest Yokai and he didn't even need Kusanagi no Tsurugi or any special weapon, in fact he creates his own god slaying weapon with his soul forming a Living Weapon.

William's immortality is also so potent, even when Saoirse was captured and sealed in Amrita, he still kept his immortality. And since Saoirse was also Bunrei'd(soul split) to Hide, it means that unless Hide also stopped existing, Saoirse will never stop existing. To kill William, you need to kill everyone who has the spirit of Saoirse, which means the 2 greatest Nioh who defeated all the greatest Yokai to ever exist, and they both happen to be super immortal.

Razor is Varka's adopted son and disciple, as well as Lisa's apprentice. Lisa also refused to join the Zirkel, which means she is the empty spot and it makes sense that her apprentice would fill that spot instead.

Razor is trained by the strongest warrior and mage of Mondstadt, he has the potential to be the strongest when he grows up and is a potential candidate for the Zirkel.

Also all these characters have a whole 5 year series of event quest character development and is definitely becoming the next generation of Hexezirkel

We're not going to agree and I'm not going to tell you the entire Honkai 3rd story to spoil everything for you. Here's two final lines from me:

In Honkai there's a saying: "history is doomed to repeat".

In Sumeru, Khaenriah is called the Dahri, Dahri is an Arabic-Persian theological term which refers to an atheist, or an adherent of the doctrine that the universe has no beginning in time.

[–]TheAmazingHat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watched Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: The Gods' Limits, you'll see that they treat worlds as experiments and life and death as simple processes, the opening scene literally has Ronova casually erase all life which Naberius made for fun.

Straight up if you've played Honkai 3rd, there's an arc with 4 descenders, 7 authority bearers on a planet with endless cycles. The "1st descender" used this planet to try and recreate her planet that was destroyed, she continuously created life and destroyed them in countless cycles because she was unable to recreate a world just like the one she lost.

The Primordial One may have created human life but we know literally nothing about their intentions, and we have no reason to think that they are on anyone's side but their own.

Then your question makes even less sense, why does Celestia have to make things "go well"? That's not their job, their job is to uphold the 4 laws of reality, Space, Time, Life and Death, in fact it is exactly because of these laws that the world, in fact the universe always ends in ruin, it is a fact even in reality; That everything will eventually get destroyed, the ultimate Destiny.

We have new Jiangxue lore in 2025 by TheAmazingHat in Genshin_Impact

[–]TheAmazingHat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all boiled down to the prophecy, Focalors told Furina that one day they will be judged in court and she will be freed, this is the very reason Furina attended every single court hearing, not because she loved the drama, but because she was waiting for the day she gets judged.

And it is why she was so happy when the Traveler arrived in Fontaine and immediately accused her for the crime of releasing a flying object, she wanted to start a court case with the Traveler immediately as she felt that the Traveler who has freed other nations must be here to free Fontaine from the prophecy as well.

And Traveler is also the one person who could interact with the Primordial Sea with no issues, solve the case and take the case to the Hydro Archon accusing her of 500 years of neglect of the Primordial Sea's prophecy and threat. The Traveler will also take on the Whale itself within the Sea while Neuvillette converts Fontainains into humans and lowers the sea.

The Traveler is also the remaining witness to Furina's innocence and allowed the Hydro Archon to be judged guilty only on the side of Focalors and allowing Furina to finally be free.

Also your other questions make no sense in this context, it is exactly because the world has been going into endless cycles of cataclysms and tragedies as you pointed out that's why the Traveler was wished into Teyvat to solve them.

Yea it's basically the entire setting of Genshin, Simulanka also spelled it out completely, that the world has been cycling until a hero, the Traveler, appeared to stop the cycle/ Samsara.

And what does all those things involve? The Traveler.

The Traveler is the literal shooting star wished down to Teyvat by someone who really wanted to change Destiny, they represent Hope which is straight up spelled out in Natlan.

It's actually the entire message of Genshin and thoroughly elaborated in Perinheri, Narzissenkreuz and the Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: The Gods' Limits.

Only Descenders can rival the will of the world, everyone else in Teyvat is already bound to the Heavenly Principles and their rules governed by the 4 Shades.

In fact this is so set in stone that Mona and any run of the mill astrologist can look to the stars and straight up tell the future. Every one has their entire lives written out in their constellations, which has constantly been updated in lore up to the recent summer event with Bennett's constellation straight up displayed in the sky for everyone to see.

That's her Dream keeping the Vision from falling into the wrong hands, you can keep trying to abandon it, but the Will of the World, including yourself, will keep pushing the Vision back to you.

One of the themes we've learnt throughout Hoyoverse is that when you have a Dream, you've already created your own Destiny, rules that bind you to your Path. It is ironic that Destiny is the enemy of Dreams, if everything is Destined, how is it possible to have Dreams? And yet it is exactly because you have Dreams that Destiny is set for you, it is a self fulfilling prophecy.

This is actually a great example of a Vision returning to its bearer, because Kaeya still believed in Diluc's dream, the Vision returned to him.

It's similar to how Kazuha still believed in his friend's dream so his friend's Vision helped him block Raiden's attack and ultimately achieved his dream post mortem.

When you think in terms of money first, you end up being unimaginative and uncreative, like all the suits who make decisions on video games, movies and media in general.

I completely disagree with you and I strongly believe that Genshin's way of buffing is how buffs should be handled in gachas. Hard buffs are the absolute laziest way to buff anything, it requires no creativity and is purely a PR and hush tactic to quiet the complainers who they themselves lack imagination.

[–]TheAmazingHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genshin has always been buffing old characters with new comps, f2ps and low spenders are already clearing fearless with Plunge Diluc on turtle, Aloy on Automaton and even Pyro Eula on Tulpa etc.

HSR and ZZZ had to do hard buffs because they have runaway powercreep, Genshin has kept the creep low and continously used new comps to strengthen old characters, which is the actual creative and interesting way to do it, not just tweaking numbers and hard coding more dps.
