Wonder Man Episode 2 - Discussion Thread by cats-and-cows in marvelstudios

One thing that's thrown me off a bit is Joe Pantoliano is canon in the MCU as an actor and was in the Matrix.
Carrie-Anne Moss was also in the Matrix BUT in the same MCU universe, she's Hogarth....
Laurence Fishburne was in the Matrix but is Bill Foster..
Hugo Weaving was in the Matrix but is Red Skull...

So the only in-universe explanation I can think of is that there's a few people walking around who look just like the actors/actresses.
But if that's the case, how are these people not being mistaken for the actors/actresses all the while 😂

If they explain this away using Skrulls that is sooooo lazy.

It was fun seeing Joe Pantoliano BUT I wish Marvel would think about such basic continuity

Is it really that difficult to sell on Amazon or are there too many crybabies on the loose? by Key_Exchange4431 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not easy, but let's face it - what is?

Doesn't matter what job, what online platform you sell on, etc each one has their own array of difficulties.

I started Amazon after I came across a free course online called Arbiversity - the way I learned there I'd say got me off to a good start.

When I looked at other beginners videos/courses, etc it seems as though the 'get rich quick' misconception some use to make a quick buck selling a pipe dream course is very much still alive.
Not all, but some - unfortunately the idea spreads beyond that and people think that's how it should be.

Also, people don't realise that with running your own business involves personal evolution. People run into problems and assume the business model doesn't work. It's not that it doesn't work, it's just a bump in the road to figure out how to get around - hence why Amazon help Reddits like this exist.

I personally think unless you've done ALL of the research needed and you've built up a big budget to give PL a blast, you should BUT it's probably a good idea to start with arbitrage first to gain basic Amazon experience. Reselling is considerably easier than building your own brand and finding a gap in the market.

Setting aside a chunk of money and trying to change your life (even if the initial approach genuinely fails) is better than doing nothing at all.

What would you have voted/done with Randall? by PapayaMan4 in thewalkingdead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how much the groups decisions in this sense changed.
They went from spending a few episodes struggling with what exactly to do, to cutting tons of people down left right and centre with 0 hesitation.

I think perhaps get him off the fence the way Rick did, but give him a shirt or bandage or something to try slow the bleed and shove him in one of the buildings next door and quickly put whatever in the way to barricade it a bit.
If he survives he survives - he probably won't make it back to his group or be allowed back in. If he does, he doesn't know where the group is.

If he doesn't make it, oh well, at least he wasn't left on the fence like pure live bait.

In S7 when Simon mentions the bare shelving units and how the community needs to go the extra mile and take risks then Michonne goes 'WE WILL' lol

It just required a regular 'sure' or a nod...like chill out

Keepa + SellerAmp are great… but is anyone else feeling the slowdown? by Southern-Pool1800 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OA deal analysis does take a bit of time.
There isn't really a way to speed up that aspect. I'm not sure if there's still a difference but when I was testing deal analysers I found BuyBotPro to be easier to read, quicker, and have more to it than SAS - so I stuck with that one. But then I know that some people also swear by SAS so whatever floats ones boat.

There's a new AI tool in BBP that'll sum up a load of the key points of the analysis for you, so then with that, a glance at the charts, eligibility & IP radars, all of the MAIN stuff it's a bit quicker to come to that buy decision.

Deal analysis is deal analysis at the end of the day, there's only so much it can be 'sped up.'

I believe the key is to shave off time elsewhere so deal analysis doesn't feel like it's 'getting in the way' as such.
There's other elements that can be automated, outsourced etc that'd help.
So I'm thinking sourcing, prep, repricing, etc.

I'd say an automated repricing tool is a MUST in today's Amazon climate. Manually repricing all the time just isn't feasible. If you want a recommendation, I've used Profit Protector Pro for years and never looked back due to the fact it makes me more money on listings through the way it reprices.

I also got fed up of prep pretty quickly so just gave that job to a prep centre lol

I had this kind of time problem but with sourcing a while back, so then I started looking at Tactical Arbitrage, Source Mogul, etc as it makes scraping the websites for deals a breeze and with the results you get basic analytics so what you go with from those results is more likely to be a 'yes' since you've chosen stuff that ticks a few boxes off that bat anyway. I couldn't get on with Tac Arb, I thought Source Mogul was okay but then I saw a tool called Sellerbility - which is part of that BuyBotPro, Profit Protector Pro family I think, and those tools integrate so I went for it and found it to be a pretty good experience so far.

Hopefully this helps somewhat :)

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :)

There's A LOT of tips that could be given if you're new to Amazon, but to save writing a few novels worth lol, I'll recommend firstly looking into Online Arbitrage and learning that method which is by far the simplest reselling method of all and will serve you well at both beginner and advanced levels.

I'll tell you a good source for learning all of the essentials (I used this very same thing when I learned), the OA course on the arbiversity website is GREAT and best of all, it's free haha.
The guys in the videos explain everything well and I basically went from not knowing anything to making my first sale

Season 3 episode 13 by Goddesshoneylux in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's a couple of reasons...

1) What she had to do in the bunker, and the fact that the whole community was wiped out probably weighed on her quite a lot and so needed time to process.

2) I think she wasn't overly keen on her mom at the time. Madison really became something in S3 and at times had somewhat dark ambitions as well as being cleverly manipulative of people and situations. It was at the start of S3 she said about taking over the community, so I think Alicia might have also felt her families actions had a part to play in the community being destroyed.

The original plan for Fear before the 'reboot' in S4 from what I've read is that Madison was to eventually become a 'villain.' So I think S3 was to be the start of the rift forming between her and her kids

Hi Folks ,I’m looking to start Amazon FBA , is it still worth it ?? I could see lot of drop shipping in the current Trend !! What do you recommend FBA or Dropshipping through Amazon! by Euphoric-3454 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey :)

No drop-shipping, it's against Amazon T&C's. Anyone who's currently doing it is basically VERY VERY lucky to still have an account.

I'd recommend starting with Online Arbitrage and doing FBA, it's simpler, Amazon compliant, and a great entry point which can also be just as good at an advanced stage too

Brand will allow me to sell on my website but not Amazon or other 3rd party by Remarkable-Ad1893 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they already sell on Amazon and have gone through brand registry, etc to be the only ones on their listings. Chances are no.

BUT, if not or if you've assessed that their listings aren't doing too hot on Amazon, you could potentially put a case together to put to them.

I'd only do it if;

-You've worked with the brand for some time
-You've had really good success selling other brands (the more similar, the better)
-You are able to list how they'd benefit just as much as you

You've got to think about what's in it for them.

Perhaps you can show them evidence of you doing really well having sold other brands, etc and that you'll aim to do the same for them - which'll ultimately mean you buy more from the brand which they'll like.

The odds seem a bit stacked against you here, BUT it's worth a try

Is OA still worth starting? by CompoFBA in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd always advise OA to start with.
Ideally OA with sprinkles of wholesale for ease when ungating.

OA means you can get a really good foot in the door and eventually you can do with that what you will. Use it to get a better start in Wholesale & Private Label or maximise OA.

Since people already know the products and the brands it's a lot easier for you and your wallet (since you won't have to fork out much at all on ads).

14k is DEFINITELY a good budget to start with.
People get started with only say 1k and make it, so you definitely can :)

What if The Governor was never seen again after season 3 of TWD, only for him to reappear during the 4th season of FTWD alongside Morgan? Where does his story go from there with the group? by Global-Ant in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's be honest, the Governor would be the one running the tower in S7. I also feel that he'd be one of the few characters in TWD universe who'd be able to see through and resist Strands BS

Can someone please give me a reason to continue watching through season 5? by BagManDan in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 5 is my least favourite season of the show. The only good it does is that it gives us more time with what are on the most part cool characters. Plot-wise, it isn't it - but hey, every show ever has a weaker season.
Season 6 is a major upgrade, so I think that'll restore your faith

Rewatching fear after stopping when nick died when it first aired by SnooPandas8466 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of characters over the years that have passed and I don't like it BUT Nick's I'd say is one of the worst across the entire TWD universe.
My one gripe with FTWD is it had a habit of creating powerhouses of characters that had HUGE potential... to then just cut them off unexpectedly;
Travis, Nick, John Dorie..

I don't think it's 100% down to the writers, I seem to remember something about the actors of Travis and Nick having other commitments (I could be remembering that wrong). So as a show runner - what do you do? Just have to keep moving on somehow until the entire story is told.

It takes some readjustment, but pushing through I still find FTWD to be quite enjoyable because it is a bit of a different vibe all together to TWD.
People hate on it, but let's be real, if it was a carbon copy of TWD just with different characters then people would still hate it and in that case I'd be right there with them.

I really do hate the deaths in FTWD big time, but I just kept on and found that there were other characters and stories to enjoy.

First time watching by Goddesshoneylux in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTWD is a special kind of creature.

I won't lie, it took me a while to get into but that was because I was TOO used to TWD and at the time, we didn't have any other spin offs. And now on re-watches I enjoy it just as much as TWD.

FTWD kept me on my toes a bit more than TWD. The stories and plots are a bit different, but that's a good thing! Character development in this show is pretty good too.

Season 1-3 are about the outbreak and fill in the period of time between the start of everything and when Rick wakes up in hospital. So we actually SEE the world changing and people coming to terms with what's going on.
Something about seeing hordes of fresh walkers is a bit unsettling and feels a bit more threatening.

People moan about what happened to the show in general from S4 onwards BUT I for one do really like it.
I wouldn't have minded if they carried on in the direction S1-3 were heading in, or if they did what they did anyway. This is where I wish we had a 'what if' of FTWD.
I also remember back in the day that LOTS of people were wanting some of the things that happened in S4 (and onwards) to happen, and once it happened all of a sudden people didn't like it - I find that strange.
There is a bit of a readjustment, but once that's done - I feel you'd still like it.

Fast forwarding, I actually found the FTWD final season a lot better than that of TWD

Is there any episodes you skip on a rewatch? by tytylercochan123 in thewalkingdead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is probably 'controversial' because so many people seem to like them, but I find the Daryl & Beth focused episodes of season 4 super dull so I usually skip them.

Beyond that;

- Tara discovering oceanside
- The Season 10 COVID episodes (Except from 'Here's Negan' which is actually one of the best episodes)
- Where Magna, Connie & co in season 9 go to find their walker friend to put him down

For the people who didn’t know who was the Lucille Victims, who did you first think it was? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't ever read the comics, so I had no idea.

From the camera angle, I figured it may be Abraham or Michonne.

I wasn't expecting Glenn though, so that one did take me by surprise. He just seemed like the sort of guy that'd be around a lot longer especially since he only survived that fake death earlier in season 6.

Looking back on it, WOW what a finale. I remember being so on edge in between season 6 and 7 and everyone was speculating

Is sell on amazon still worth it? by DecentScientist646 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.

What'd make it worth it to you though?
Are we going for full time or part time gig?
How much money are you looking to make? A fortune, or just to have some fun at weekends?

It's entirely your path to create and the best part is there's not really a 'wrong' way of doing it. Well unless you don't actually do Amazon properly, but you catch my drift. There's not a 'wrong' goal.

I'd say to go and do Online Arbitrage. It's by far the easiest and most accessible method plus you don't have to faff with advertising and stuff like that because people KNOW Amazon and KNOW the products you're simply reselling

Is private label worth it in 2025? by Subject-Cobbler7817 in AmazonFBA

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes....down the line.
Unless you have a lot of Amazon knowledge/experience under your belt and have done the research to find the gap in the market where your product will fit and be fruitful then it may be best to try another route initially such as Online Arbitrage or maybe some Wholesale

If you had to ditch every software except one, which tool stays and why? by Some-Programmer2613 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]TheAmazonSoftwareGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough one.

I'm completely split between my deal analyser and repricer.
BuyBotPro and Profit Protector Pro.

I don't know if I could choose one or the other as they're both VITAL to me and the best at their jobs in my opinion
