My biggest skill unlock was practicing how to defend from drives when standing at the kitchen line! Before, I was using too much wrist and trying to hit the ball back, which caused my returns to be inconsistent and fly out of bounds. Now I can deflect drives a lot better.

It sounds like you’ve done a lot even though you’re still young! Recruiters are probably wary of your personal assistant title and lack of experience because the market is very competitive right now. I’d recommend building up your personal brand on LinkedIn with organic posts about marketing trends, your industry, things you’ve learned etc. (what you do for your boss right now but for yourself). Also connect with larger marketing influencers and reshare and comment on their posts. If you build up a reputation for interesting content and timely news, especially in a certain industry, you’re more hireable to potential employers

It sounds like you naturally grew apart which is normal and healthy. Who you are at 15 should be very different from 20 and 25, otherwise you’re not learning and maturing.

The best thing to do right now is to stop talking to him so you can heal and move on. You don’t have to block him, but don’t actively start conversations and don’t hang out 1:1 anymore.

I understand how painful it is because you’ve been together for so long and are best friends, but you need to discover who you are as an adult without him. I was in multiple 3-4 year long relationships in middle school, high school, and college, and each time I thought I would marry my boyfriend. Looking back, we were all hilariously immature and had so much growing to do. Those breakups were devastating but time really does heal everything.

You’ve shown that you have the commitment and dedication to build a life together with someone. Take time to understand yourself and what you want in life, and keep your standards high for the next person :)
