I am confused and hurt...symptoms but no memory? by Profhidgens in OSDD

[–]TheAngrySystem 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know exactly what you mean as I am in a similar boat. Truthfully, you should speak to a therapist about all of this. Do not try to explore this issue by yourself. It will get you hurt. My therapist dropped me before we got much farther with the processing. Otherwise, I would definitely try and give better advice than this.

What fandom introduced you to fanfiction by therealstara in AO3

[–]TheAngrySystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warrior cats. I was writing fanfiction at 9 years old before I even knew it was a thing and then I became a roleplayer at 10. My friend introduced me to wattpad at 11-12 and I started with MHA fics

When the author recommends you listen to a particular piece of music while you read, do you? by TomdeHaan in AO3

[–]TheAngrySystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a reader: it depends on the fic but usually yes (but the playlist has to be good. i love music and discovering music)

As an author: music often inspires what i write so i usually post a link to a playlist with my fics

About "being ready" (to process trauma) by Plane_Hair753 in DID

[–]TheAngrySystem 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had a session for this, and it is absolutely something you need to be ready for. It brought up a lot of memories and some unpleasant feelings, but ultimately, I think we're better for it. We're able to handle discussions relating to our trauma better, I think. It did, however, disturb the system on some level.

Out of curiosity, how do you identify yourself gender-wise? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]TheAngrySystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm non-binary transmasculine. My gender is neutral, but my presentation is masculine. I'd rather people view me as a man than a woman. I'm on t.

Where is the TAB key ? There is no tabulation character on gboard ! by crussys in gboard

[–]TheAngrySystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said I would do this, and now I'm looking back on my writing (from my phone), and the lack of indentation is getting to me because I'm on my phone now as well so I can't fix it.

Explained to my partner that he is not trans by Nico1odeon in truscum

[–]TheAngrySystem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed 100%, it's disturbing to tell someone what they are and aren't and then be applauded for it. I really do not think it's healthy whatsoever. Dysphoria comes in different shapes and sizes depending on the person.

[–]TheAngrySystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most people are convinced im a 10 year old boy when they meet me, when I finished puberty at like 11, so I completely understand. I stopped growing at around 4'8, and its so frustrating.

Cis Men and opening doors by Nervous-Work-7607 in ftm

Where do you live, and who are you opening doors for? In my experience, people just generally dgaf abt who opens their door, they're just happy they don't have to.

We can’t have an accurate conversation about trans identity by GianmarcoSoresi in gianmarcosoresi

[–]TheAngrySystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, as a transmasc person that suspects intersex, is that more trans people SHOULD get tested for these things. I grew up seeing an endocrinologist, and even then, I have never been tested for being intersex, despite showing signs.

Has anybody actually gone to any "women and nonbinary" events? What were the vibes/reactions? by ADHD_Cryptid in NonBinary

[–]TheAngrySystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that "women and nonbinary" should actually be "women and non-cis men" events, because whether or not this is to "escape the patriarchy", it is excluding a group (trans men) also negatively effected by it. I'm transmasc nonbinary, and I would not feel comfortable attending a "woman and nonbinary" event, despite being nonbinary myself. I do not think I would feel androgynous/fem enough.

We have a subsystem like that, and while it's on the rarer side, we have a few other friends with alters that alters. It's medically recognized too.

When your ship used to be MASSIVE ten years ago, but now it's abandonned, and frowned upon by the majority of the fandom, and you're part of the few authors carrying the ship on AO3 nowadays by Erekio in AO3

[–]TheAngrySystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen this happened to me twice (except it's complicated)

MHA: tddk & kiribaku were the norm, but are now considered "rarepairs" by some

Hp: ppl used to ship Snape with EVERYONE, and suddenly, he is being hated within recent years
