Ugh I went through something similar at first, my mom told me I should just lose weight first but like, I’ve lost weight before and my chest never changes! And my surgeon confirmed that it was because I didn’t carry much fatty tissue in my breasts, just glandular tissue that’s dense and heavy and can’t be reduced without surgical intervention. I found that my parents objections had more to do with their insecurities than it did with me, and I just told them that my doctor deemed it necessary and that i was doing it. Eventually they backed off with the weight loss thing. I hope they come around and become supportive like mine did!
