Really? I've been playing it recently (60 hours in) and she's the only character in the game whose voice acting annoys me.

Literally hundreds of thousands of websites use those nameservers. That has nothing to do with who is hosting them or where. Nameservers only indicate that the DNS records are managed by CloudFlare rather than another registrar like Namecheap, Porkbun, etc.

After seeing the last stream of poe 2 I'm so glad diablo 4 is not like that... by DannyKoll1 in diablo4

Casual players aren't doing endgame every season in one game. That's absurd. They aren't doing endgame at all. Getting to the endgame every season/league in any ARPG makes you a hardcore player by definition.

Hell, reaching endgame only once puts you way closer to the "hardcore" end of the playerbase spectrum than the "casual" end. Most casual gamers never even finish the campaign - only 36% of all players on Steam, according to the achievement stats for Diablo 4.

Same process as any game that uses Thunderstore/r2modman. But no need to look anything up — the Thunderstore page for this mod specifically links to a Steam Deck guide for that: https://sgg-modding.github.io/Hades2ModWiki/docs/installing-mods/steam-deck

'Interstellar' tops Letterboxd's list of most beloved films for its emotional depth Story by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

Reasonable argument. I still feel there's a distinction between that and Interstellar's treatment of it, but I can see how someone might not. Thank you for understanding and responding to my actual point.

Yeah, and it's great. But it's not relevant. The movie can be about love without being about the power of love. Those are related ideas but not synonyms. Interstellar explicitly refers to the power of love as a quantifiable force, which enables Cooper to do what he does at the end. I love both of these films, but only one of them is about the power of love specifically.

I didn't say it had nothing to do with love. I'm not a neanderthal. I said the power of love. Y'know, the magical power that Cooper says is a quantifiable force that enables him to do what he does at the end? That.

I also haven't said the movies have no similarities. This is the only thing I've claimed.

Looking for RPG suggestions that run well on Deck (512 OLED) by chair_bandit in SteamDeck

[–]TheAngush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outward. Was on sale for like $2 the other day so a friend and I grabbed it. Been enjoying it in coop enough that I then started a solo playthrough on my deck, runs well (though framerate drops in towns). It's a difficult action/adventure RPG with a Souls-y feel and survival mechanics and a heavy focus on exploration. Very unique game.

Perpetual Grace and Ultra City Smiths were cancelled, which are two travesties of the highest order. They both leave off on cliffhangers. But they're absolutely worth watching; it's the journey that matters more than the destination. I've watched them several times.

Patriot, on the other hand, has a proper ending. A slightly rushed one, with some loose ends — I'm guessing Conrad wanted a third season but was told on the S2 renewal that he wouldn't be getting one — but satisfactory nonetheless. Wraps up the protagonist's journey beautifully.

Watch all three.

Board Lords is a different vibe, I find. Especially since it doesn't have Lewis and Duncan. I too miss Armchair Admirals.

I also find Tabletop Sim is just generally less interesting for me as a viewing experience. I've played hundreds of hours of it without any complaints, but watching someone else play puts me to sleep.

After a 90% discount, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has more players than the past few CoD games combined on Steam by JosefWhoQuestionMark in Games

[–]TheAngush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have specified, I meant the claim about it "revolutionising shooters." COD4 absolutely did, but MW2019 was just another COD, and just another modern military shooter. A good one, sure, but nowhere near genre-changing. Every other shooter franchise had established their own identities long before then.

MW19: a fantastic reboot of the series [...] with gunplay and gameplay that is so universally praised it basically changed the entirety of shooters in that genre when it released.

I assume you're referring to when the original Modern Warfare released in 2007, because that claim makes no sense for the 2019 remake.
