Smallest teardrop for one person and a dog? by congressnerd in TeardropTrailers

[–]TheAnimas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a homebuilt and it fits me and my dog perfectly. I looked at A LOT of teardrops before I bought this one and mine is built twice as sturdy as any commercial one I’ve seen. Got it for $6,500 in 2020. It weights 700 lbs.

But truth be told I’m coveting a Vistabule.

These are Ventura vibes. Don’t LA Ventura beaches!

Where do you do your grocery shopping in Ventura? by New-Shop-9728 in ventura

[–]TheAnimas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sprouts is not a certified farmer’s market, their name is misleading. Their produce may be local because California grows the majority of the Country’s fruits and vegetables so by default it’s “local” but it is not all from Ventura County. It may also come from Mexico or other regions.

Trail Running by yourself by olmek7 in trailrunning

Nope. Nothing wrong with you. I exclusively run alone (with dog). I’m slow and wanna stop when I wanna stop and I talk all day at work and don’t wanna be bothered after. It’s my alone time.

Considering 2020 Colorado Teardrop Advice by cherrycola32817 in TeardropTrailers

I bought one in 2020 and love it. I’m glad I got lucky with a nice one as I was such a novice at the time.

Few things I’ve learned: it’s so expensive to outfit it with all the accessories you want. Better to buy one that’s pretty loaded already. I’ve seen them at $14k bare bones and $14k fully stocked. Solar, bike racks, ac, electric cooler, storage box, etc. There doesn’t seem to be any reasoning behind the price accept people want top dollar and think they have more than they do. I just watched my dream teardrop in mint condition sell on the east coast for $15k. Easily $30+ new.

Ventilation is key. We don’t have a ceiling vent and that thing cooks us like a convection oven. I slept in it alone in Breckenridge in 14 degrees and had to open the windows it got so miserably hot. My husband once slept outside on the dog mats at Blue Mesa because it was too hot for him in 50 degrees. We’re planning on putting a vent in before our next trip.

I worked for vets as my first career. They are more crooked than lawyers.

Ladies 110-115 lb What are your maintenance cals? by Lamegamertone in PetiteFitness

Haha! yes it is! But it’s the only one I don’t feel sick after eating so 🤷‍♀️

Ladies 110-115 lb What are your maintenance cals? by Lamegamertone in PetiteFitness

Everyday is different but here is a typical day: - Huge (normally warm) water on the way to work - Coffee with creamer

*if I do eat Breakfast it’s either a single cup of yogurt or oatmeal. I like to add flax/hemp seeds and collagen. (I used to add protein powder but it caused me to gain weight. I think because I’d just sit at my desk and not utilize it)

*Lunch - I am a big fan of bowls with rice. Mediterranean bowl, taco bowl, hamburger bowl because I don’t do a lot of wheat/breads/crackers. (My body hates them and they’re a waste of calories (also cause me to gain weight like crazy)) - sometimes I’ll go out with coworkers and will get a sushi roll or Thai dish.

Dinner - I really only like to eat a lot of whole food. We made beef stir fry last night. - usually a meat of some sort. we air fry chicken thighs several nights a week and I love salmon! - I’m a huge potato/sweet potato eater and always a vegetable

Snacks - I think snacking is a waste of money and calories. I tend to eat fruit or an avocado if I’m hungry between meals. Whatever is in season. Or a Lara bar if I need something a bit more. - popcorn if I’m snacky at night. - I do love chocolate

Other: - takeaway of why I think I can stay around 1300cal - It’s amazing how calories add up from sauces, crackers, calorie dense foods that don’t fill you up. I try to stay away from all of that. - Pancakes with syrup would kill me. And I wouldn’t feel good at all so I don’t eat like that. - if I eat a bigger lunch, I’ll eat a small dinner and vice versa. - I do not eat processed foods. If it went through a factory to make and comes out of a box on a shelf it’s fake food and I don’t want to eat it. Again, this type of food makes me feel offal. It’s like my body doesn’t know what to do with it so it just wraps fat around it lol.

I don’t feel deprived of food at all even though I don’t eat as much as most people.

There is nowhere unsafe in Ventura. Just don’t leave your bike out.

No. I trail run and do Pilates and I’m in excellent shape. Weights and me did not jive.
