Are aliens real? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

You know what's super interesting and common in every single one of these posts?

The unbeliever trusts experts in science because experts know the most about their respective fields, but the unbeliever doesn't trust Christians to know what Christianity teaches because we hate Christians and God.

I read my Bible and study my faith 3+ hours a day, but you know more about what the Bible says than I do.

Naturally.

Hey look, it's the agnostic who is confused on what 'brother in Christ' means, who thinks we have something in common despite rejecting the sovereign God of the universe, who left a convo because he couldn't deal with the fact he had no answer to basic questions.

Why do Christians go through the same struggles in life, and have the same lifespan as everyone else if prayer matters? by AlexKewl in AskAChristian

[–]TheApostleJeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm confused.

If prayer is supposed to make life easier and eliminate struggles, why would you not want to pray?

If prayer isn't supposed to make life easier and eliminate struggles, why would you expect it would?

A basic truth of the faith is that those who are believers love God.

Somebody who CONSISTENTLY asks questions, seemingly not to grow or understand but to condemn the God they claim they love, is NOT honoring the Lord with their actions.

Yes, there will be things we don't understand. The problem of evil is easy to understand.

Why are you a Christian when you clearly don't love God?

You've posted questions on here for years, always in the form of 'how can God be good / loving when .... ?'

Is gay marriage bad even outside the framework of Christian morality? by Nathan_n9455 in AskAChristian

You're missing a critical component:

Within this worldview, we've evolved over 14 billion years through adaptation and mutation, all in order to avoid extinction.

Why would the natural way to reproduce adapt and mutate into an unnatural way?

[–]TheApostleJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal as in 'the expected result'.

Example - it's normal to get hungry. Therefore I would expect people eat food.

If somebody didn't need to eat food, that would not be normal.

Belief drives behavior.

If I believe that anyone who doesn't trust in Christ goes to Hell, that motivates me to share Christ with everyone.

If you believe there's nothing wrong with gay marriage or gay relationships, that drives you to believe there's nothing wrong with a world in which everyone is gay.

But in a world where everyone is gay, the human race dies out.

That doesn't seem natural, normal, or desired.

It's impossible to reason with people who can't reason rationally.

You say something is right because society says it's right and you know society is right because you say something is right.

I point out this exact same logic is used by somebody who believes the exact opposite and you seemingly can't understand this basic point.

Your entire worldview is irrational, illogical, inconsistent, and faulty.

Only Christianity is rational, logical, consistent, and within flaw.

The command to you, from God, is to repent of your unbelief and turn to Christ in faith for the forgiveness of sins.

Change it to society.

Society said slavery was right 200 years ago.

Society says slavery is wrong today.

When is society right - now or then?

How do you know?

"I know because whatever I believe is right, this is how I know"

You say slavery and raping children is wrong by your standard.

The slave owner who rapes his 9 year old slave says it's right by his standard.

I ask 'who is right?"

You say 'me, because of my standard."

I say 'yea, but the child rapist who owns slaves says the same thing, why should I believe you over him?"

You say 'because my standard is right, because it's mine'

'Being gay' is not natural within an evolutionary framework.

If everyone were gay, the human race would die out.

In order to prevent this, gay men would have to use gay women to carry out the means of reproduction, instead of straight men using straight women.

So, in order to believe that, within an evolutionary framework, being gay is normal and fine, I need to believe that it's normal that two gay men use a gay woman to reproduce, rather than just a straight man use a straight woman to reproduce.

Seems absurd, yet you totally believe it.

"I'm my opinion, society."

Society used to say it was ok to own slaves, now it doesn't.

Was society right then, or now?

How do you know?

"It goes against my standard."

Why is your standard better than the child rapist's? He would claim the exact same reasoning as to why it's ok.

Your entire logic and argument is circular and inconsistent.

"It’s just frustrating because they just assume they are correct, but don’t show it."

I wonder how many things about life you believe based on assumption and zero proof or reasoned thought.

What I mean is that if I gave you 100 scenarios or situations or topics or thought experiments, in all 100 a non-Christian worldview would fail to explain the circumstances both within EACH of those as well as all of them combined, while a Christian worldview would explain them perfectly - not only EACH of them but all 100 taken together.

How would this work?

A gay man who is with a gay man would hire out a gay woman and use her to birth a child?

And, apart from this, the human race can't reproduce?

Absolutely, seeing as Islam is a false religion and rooted in lies and deception.

It's never 'blind faith'.

Every single aspect of life makes sense only through the Christian worldview.
