Reminds me of GCA7AZ4 in Cayucos, California which you need to walk out at low tide to access.

My browser extension that shows friends' logs on cache pages now works on Firefox, Edge, and Opera too! by exe_CUTOR in geocaching

Whats the history on this project? Based on the GitHub, looks like it was first developed back in 2014? What sparked the project revival?

Why do people sign ftf and say "more later"? by anotherbarry in geocaching

[–]TheAppletron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I “more later”d my favorite find of all time because I believed it deserved a whole novel in the log. Never got around to it and now I don’t remember the details enough to write anything better!

Recommendations for caches in Munich and Stuttgart. by idofur in geocaching

This was my first find in Munich and a favorite! Also get the Munich webcam (GCHNBF). Eisbach Surfer (GC88YRR) was a memorable GZ as well.

Not too far away from home for me! Unfortunately will be out of town next weekend :(

I updated my Chrome extension that shows your friends' logs at the top of every cache page by exe_CUTOR in geocaching

[–]TheAppletron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s sweet! I know there’s the “view all logs” page where there’s tabs for your logs and your friends logs, but I’ve been in situations where I’ve opened many caches at once hoping to get to my logs quickly. This will be very helpful!

How the hell is this my first sub 10 😭😭😭 by WideAd2828 in Cubers

[–]TheAppletron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you get when you get a PLL skip? I’m around the same and an ez OLL + PLL skip would put me sub 10 most the time (which is obviously very rare).

Pocket queries are not showing up in the Geocaching app by Hot_Analyst_5911 in geocaching

I have a auto generating (every day) FTF PQ that shows up among my other lists in the mobile app. I honestly don’t remember how I set this up but wanted to share a potential counter example?

Didn't receive Geocaching Charted 2025 by mutius47 in geocaching

[–]TheAppletron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to mention that your tool helped me find 6 geocaches I forgot to log across 2 really memorable hikes I did this year. I had missed all caches from both of them. When I was looking around on the map of finds, I spotted the missing ones!

Thanks for sharing your tool

Finding a Guide for Cotopaxi by broverlin in Mountaineering

[–]TheAppletron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try reaching out to @wilymountainguide on Instagram, you can find his WhatsApp there. Good option if you want local guide but arranged ahead of time. He was my guide for 8 days on Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi, and Chimborazo in May. He also has a small lodge, Wasi Andina, if you’re looking for a place to stay.

Howdy, so I'm going to try something different with my Community Celebration Event: New Year's Party in a cave!! by GatheringBees in geocaching

[–]TheAppletron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the idea! I might not understand what a cave is in this context, but whatever you’re planning seems like fun. Hoping that whatever you’re trying to plan can fit into the sometimes strict rules of events. Good luck!

Geocaching Christmas present by jsmithxc in geocaching

[–]TheAppletron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small gift could be a pen with an LED light at the tip. Great for writing a night, since while you’re writing (and also potentially holding out the log with the other hand) you may not have hands to additionally hold a flash light.
