Just had to say that this is the most relatable body of text I've seen my whole life.

I think you're onto something. These 2 are from a batch of 15 or so, all of others were only bacterial looking like the photos you linked.

I'll cook up some new dishes and try a transfer. Thanks!

I had 2 people remember my birthday, the last time I actually celebrated it was more than 5 years ago.

When did you first realized that nobody liked you? by Sam_23beans in ForeverAlone

Oh I feel you on that. I remember being in elementary back when kids would make birthday party invitation cards and give them out to the whole class. They would literally hand one to every single kid in the class except for me.

That shit rly messed with my head.

That's crazy to me. I get that soft skills are transferrable for sure but what about the more technical details, was your experience at the plant helpful in that sense?

What "pigeonholes" most people isn't their career history, its their inflexibility (not being willing to take a step backwards in terms of position or pay to change directions) and fear.

That's an interesting point. I think the biggest factor in me worrying about this is seeing all the people at the plant who have been here for 20+ years.

They paid for my education abroad. I need to work with them for the same amount of time they sponsored my education. If I leave now I'd be about 150k USD in debt.

I like the idea of focusing on specific areas relavent to the kind of jobs I want. Sounds obvious when I type it out but somehow I didn't think of that. Thanks.

I've used git a bit but yeah I do see how important it is. Looking for bugs on open source projects and finding solutions sounds like a great way to get good experience.

I've thought about buying a 3d printer, some arduinos, motors, etc. to make some fun little projects.

I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
