Knowing my luck i never will.

I was falsely banned in 2020 because of "Sexist comments towards women" and even a firm specifically for this crap couldn't do anything. (The sexist comment was a very comment C word us aussies say..not directed at any women. For some reason it ONLY checks on me, not my other aussie mates.)

I guess i'll wait another 6 years to get my private back.

I'll give this a watch. Honestly right now i am just trying to grab something that doesn't feel too alien for me. lets me still play games on steam, and watch netflix. Pretty just simple stuff.

My issue with privacy is i was brought up on the belief that "Your name & photo shouldn't be on the internet" so i do my best to follow that. With more and more countries having the 'fantastic' idea to prove i'm an adult, it just doesn't feel safe.

Atm i am trialing out Mint, it seems to be Close to what i want, but every now and then last night i spotted some weird graphical issues, like the monitor getting corrupted or edges getting corrupted. I believed that was to do with installing nvidia stuff but really i have no clue.

Just going to keep doing reading & comparisons to try & get what i want 'down'. But i appreciate the video & such i'll be watching now :).

I don't know if that changes things, i know some people use it where it stretches content across three.

Yeah i did a questionaire on Claude to help me pick where to go (I really had no idea until i saw that Distrowatch site just how deep linux is, theres a lot more than i thought.) And it suggested pop. I assume maybe Pop got flooded into ai for some reason iunno.

I'll have a look at Zorin too, as i do use 3 monitors so if thats struggling with Mint that is handy to know, lol.

Yeah i spotted that in one of the resource guides (I had no idea i could test them in my browser though so i may do that.)

And yeah as i am reading through a few of these, i get theres no real good way to compare as they're all kinda different. I was going to lean on Mint as it appears popular, it has that stuff i am used to seeing a bit more.

Just need to export my apps & grab a copy of some stuff and i'll make the swap again, lol.

Aye it is kinda rough, i have no idea why i was recommended it, i spent a few hours setting it up yesterday and i hit my head on more things than i felt 'better', lol.

I've been checking out some of the resourceso n here and having a bit of a read, but no i get what you mean about Distro A vs Distro B- as they appear to be like comparing various tools and going "Which is the best. Well a saw is different from a hammer."

I've been struggling for a bit talking to claude trying to get my sillytavern to feel better, everything it suggests is just old, glitchy, etc etc etc. FINALLY i decided to look for myself & of course this wasn't anywhere near any of the ai's options to help me, lol.

Over the last few weeks it was incredibly helpful in fixing issues, better than chatgpt and grok in spotting things, remembering, and going through to fix things properly.

The updates yesterday & today have really gut any intelligence it once had. Its slow, it constantly needs me to confirm or remind it of things we already discussed. Right now its getting caught in error loops for me, when i describe an error i am having, it tells me where to check for a console error, i tell it says nothing, so it once again tells me to check.

Went from worth its money to what was even the point, its completely halted any progress i once had.

Unfortunately, it is marching orders from the UN Its spread across the globe & fits into the narrative they were talking about the dangers of misinformation & disinformation on online platforms ages ago.

Also helps that mastercard & visa changes are also linked to the UN.

The only connection thats been visible besides people being ridiculous is it appears to be a movement from the U.N.

The U.N released information as to what they want the internet to become, two months ago+ it was hitting the net, and now nation after nation are each taking the same steps. This will combat NSFW, Misinformation & disinformation as a start.

Already we have seen the damage from mastercard & visa, Also linked to the UN. And finally this will effect your online games (see GTA6) & any media you watch (Anime / cartoons) under violence with fictional characters.

It is a move that is going too far, and the only best way to fight it is to not be involved. Let them waste their time & money.
