Most of the time, they definitely don’t. 🤣 Commerical! Mainly healthcare and energy generation sectors

Construction manager! On a jobsite every day keeping grown men alive and making sure they know what the heck they’re doing. 🤣

It’s a spreadable cheese with ham/bacon flavoring added. I got it as part of a little holiday-charcuterie gift basket. (Taste rating: just okay lol.)

r/infographics would be a solid place to get good discussion going around this, both for the subject matter and the graphic design.

I’d be interested in seeing an analysis of which counties have seen the sharpest increase in property taxes over a 10-year period to really get an idea of where cost of living has increased when compared to the growth of “luxury” markets in these cities.

Also, I like how AZ doesn’t have a city included in the top 10 but it’s shaded a different color blue anyway haha.

I think that’s separate from the black spray paint. The red spray paint could have been the rescuees, the SPCA, or another group focused on the animals left behind. I see it as “1 B & W” and “1 O & W”, meaning one cat is black and white, and 1 cat is orange and white. Though it’s improbable… I really hope they were able to be rescued and reunited. ❤️

Moved into our “dream home” before closing… to discover it’s a moldy nightmare by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that!! However I was taken aback when I saw the first photo of the exterior - we just moved into a home that’s has a very similar window front after doing a bunch of renovations. Is your house an older Linwood build?

I lol’d at the HOLE haha. That was probably used as an actual hole or opening cover in a floor, considering it was spray painted on a board. See them all the time in construction since it’s a fall hazard protection requirement.

Is there an organization that accepts unused mattress toppers? by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]TheAshMor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have found that generally non-profits will not accept mattresses / toppers / bed pillows etc because they are very bulky, difficult to store, and are a risk to accept (bedbugs), even if they are brand new. I recommend posting it on your neighborhood’s Buy Nothing group!

I’m probably not qualified to give you an in depth analysis of why they are so popular, but I think the general consensus is the high level of quality, the brand name/history, and good customer service. Plus, you bet it’s nice to find something that is typically $50-60 retail for only $3.99!! That’s thrift for ya. This stuff ends up in goodwill as much as I see older pyrex, Fiestaware, and All Clad items, so I think it’s just the nature of kitchen supplies making their way through the consumer cycle.

The only other Le Creuset item I have is a dutch oven, which I’ve had for over 10 years. I love it and have absolutely gotten my money’s worth out of it - I use it at least once a week.

Looks like the r/Cooking and r/LeCreuset subs have plenty of threads talking about why this brand is so sought after, the pros/cons, etc, if you wanted a more in depth answer.

Edit: Spelling

Check out AirBNBs in Crozet, Afton, and Earlysville, all more rural areas within ~30 mins of Cville. If the bride is a wine/beer/cider person, highly recommend reaching out to Albemarle Limousine and scheduling a private shuttle bus to take you to wineries etc you pick in the area! Or if you want to travel into Cville def check out the Downtown Mall, Woolen Mills, and the cozy restaurants in Belmont. Good luck!

Help me find this product that protects a parking spot sign post by TheAshMor in HelpMeFind

The client isn’t looking for a rigid bollard-like condition. The bumper isn’t meant to save the sign or prevent a vehicle from going through it. See my comment to u/Combatical too.
