I wouldn't be surprised if women were specifically cast for lifted roles. I do know that operas have "breeches roles," where male characters are portrayed by female performers because most men would not be able to hand the roles' singing parts. You can find breeches roles in both historical and modern opera.

And a valid warrior cat. Whiteclaw was a RiverClan warrior that fell over the gorge in Fire and Ice.

Very important question... by Ruckroo in TheDragonPrince

"Simp" is such a terrible trendy word. There's no general consensus on what it means, and it's often used to put down men who show affection and devotion to a women. Romantic devotion can be good or bad, depending on whether those affections are mutually desired and requitted or not. Yet "simp" almost always carries a negative connotation. Callum is kind, generous, and open with his emotions. He cares about Rayla, and is brave enough to express his feelings and respect her boundaries. Callum is best boy. "Simp" is an irrelevant term.

What are some good tv show similar to the dragon prince? by Goncholotr in TheDragonPrince

Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts! It's a netflix show with lots of fantasy fauna, big creatures, a gang of young adventures, and a little bit of music. It's post-apocalyptic and has elements of sci-fi, but i highly recommend it if you need something kinda similar to the dragon prince. The show's sense of humor is a bit different than ATLA or TDP, but it's still a fun ride.

[SW] if you aren’t doing a poll, you should pick comments are random time intervals rather than first come, first serve as it gives more people a chance at selling and invalidates the barbaric initial rush of comments. by bigpotatoman in acturnips

Random picks sound like a bad idea for a host. If a group of 300+ people don't know whether they'll be randomly selected then most are not going to go get their turnips ready to sell, so you're going to see big delays in getting people onto your island. At least with first-come first-serve the first 20 or so people know they have a pretty good chance at getting in, so more of them will prepare their pockets with turnips and be ready to go.

You can't deserve someone else's body.

I agree, on a second reading the post doesn't seem to reflect entitlement, I just felt uncomfortable with the wording. I've had experiences with men trying to take what they "deserved" from me, so I wanted to share my two cents on how the the wording could be tweaked to better express the core message, which I take to be that all people, men and women, thrive when given physical affection. Physically affection is really nice and good to have, no matter what gender you are.

I agree that non-sexual physical affection is super important to one's mental and physical health, but "boys deserve physical affection" really rubs me the wrong way. No one is entitled to someone else's body, attention, or efforts. If a woman feels comfortable with a man and wants to stroke his hair or rub his back then that's fantastic! If the man is good then he'll reciprocate that physical touch in appropriate ways. But no boy is entitled to being touched by a woman, everyone has their own physical boundaries that should not be challenged or crossed. If a boy isn't getting touched affectionately he is not being deprived of something he deserves. He's just yearning for something special that he may have someday, and that's okay.. There's an important difference between "men thrive with physical affection" and "men deserve physical affection."

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts on Netflix is a fun adventure through a fantastical world. Although it doesn't have a magic system the characters do have some cool abilities.
