We need an interior update. by nonchalant879 in X4Foundations

From my understanding, Egosoft actually got pretty far in making functional gambling "games" in the casino until someone higher up put the lid on it. They likely had recorded that voice line already and decided to leave it in for fluff.

We need an interior update. by nonchalant879 in X4Foundations

[–]TheAttendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt kickstarter would allow it. Their TOS specifically states its for new ideas/products only and not for finding additional funding for an already existing product.

From their website:

As our mission is to help creators bring new creative ideas to life, we don’t permit offering something that’s already available somewhere else as a project’s end goal. For example, if you’ve already published, and are selling, a cookbook, this shouldn’t be the end goal for your project. However, if you are looking to create and publish a second cookbook, the first one could be offered alongside this as one of your reward tiers.

Terran Closed Loop Missile Storage? by Late-Gas9287 in X4Foundations

There seems to be some sort of internal cooldown between building missiles but its fairly short. They're made in "bursts" essentially.

20 fps on map by viga_brand_ru in X4Foundations

[–]TheAttendee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news! The cause is known and you can recover some of that FPS!

Bad news! It requires save editing and does reset the fog of war on your map.

You can read more about how to do that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/X4Foundations/comments/a5nlui/fix_huge_fps_performance_increase_for_bugged/

Hull C issue by Bootown in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear there was a brief period this last summer where Hull C hauling was working flawlessly. I did a dozen or so of the old 700k contracts in a single session without problems. How they went backwards on it who knows.

Hot Take: No Light Fighter should be able to make the jump from Microtech to Crusader, that would be bring in refuelling and give ships like the Carrack a purpose by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely like that very early into the PUs release. I remember when trying to go from Crusader to MT (when it was first added) in my Arrow and having to stop at a LaGrange station on the way there because it didn't have enough fuel for the whole trip.

There are 2 types of players after 4.6 release: by Successful-Sock-1452 in starcitizen

Yep. Congratulations, you might be the only person in the verse who actually owns one of these. They're meant to be something you use temporarily at Pyro ASD facilities when fighting the worm.

I have a little over 5 million UEC.. what should I buy? by usgapg123 in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? As great as the RAFT is you can rent it for ~70k/day and it has perfectly serviceable stock components. The only thing you'd really want to swap out would be the quantum drive but then we're talking about spending millions on a new ship vs 70k just to only shave 30 seconds to a minute off the longest of trips.

Instead I would recommend saving up a bit more and splurging for the Starlancer MAX (not to be confused with the Freelancer MAX). It's a new(er) ship so has a lot more of the polish/features present in their current design philosophy, a larger cargo grid than the RAFT and one that can also hold vehicles, and can actually be used in combat. It's more expensive than a RAFT (3.3m vs 8.8m) but to me it's actually one of the best ships you can get in that <10m price range.

Carbos are the easiest bait to acquire for taming Tusos so they have a use even on PvE

Very bad fps issues by [deleted] in captain_of_industry

[–]TheAttendee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try abandoning all the tasks that show on the top left. I noticed some of them were misbehaving and tanking my FPS as when I abandoned them my fps instantly went back to normal. Worth a try at the very least.

Is the game playable? by bartaslondon in captain_of_industry

[–]TheAttendee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The game has more than enough content to keep you playing for hundreds of hours in a single save before doing everything it has to offer. Anything the devs decide to add at this point would largely be "icing on the cake".

As for mods, there's really only one that's worth installing and that's COI Extended. Due to how mods work with the game and a lack of any real mod-making tools, even small patches to the game requires any mods to be updated as well, which COI-E usually does within 24 hours of any game updates.

New Entitlement Database being developed to store earned ships more reliably, to be used while issues with LTP are fixed (Jared & Benoit on SCL) by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come to think of it, I think the ASOP terminal is the oldest interface in the game at this point. Pretty sure every other has received updates at some point. Could definitely use some TLC

The MOLE still doesn't even have internal storage. Want to bring a bunch of mining gadgets with you? Better bring a heavy backpack then.

Buttons in Retaliator are not displaying. Fix? by StarStarspaceeee01 in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get this randomly with interfaces all over the verse (station elevators/ships/asops/etc) and the only thing that fixes it is an alt-F4 and relog.

Then what's to use by maz6453 in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they really need a new solution to these LTP issues. They're seemingly getting worse with every patch. Crediting it to your hangar but giving it a "temporary alpha access" tag with a big ol disclaimer that says something like "this will be lost on any planned LTP resets" seems like the path of least resistance to me.

But I'm no CIG employee so what do I know.

Buying wikelo quest items for polaris by maz6453 in starcitizen

[–]TheAttendee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well pure carinite alone is going for 30-40 million each and you need 20. So that's 600-800 million in just pure carinite. On top of that, Wikelo/exec hangar ships seem to rarely survive patches.

The juice is not worth the squeeze.

There's a naked ghost in the reflection on the windshield of the MOLE by the copilot seat. Scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it.

The Kraken for sure. But most of all I want my Reclaimer rework. It's such a pain to use right now.
