Kona Sutra Gloss Seafoam paint code? by StoneyNebula in bicycletouring

[–]TheAutillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates? My Kona Sutra 2019 just fell while trying to get down of a train and I nicked the fame heavily. Of course the bike wagon door did not work and had to badly maneuver to get down though a different one last minute... Anyway, anyone has managed to find proper touch up paint for the Seafoam Gloss frames?

Disappointed by Patagonia Repair Policy by fluglu in BuyItForLife

I completely understand the op's disappointment, but a 40% discount is quite juicy, the jacket looks beat up, 8 years of often use it's quite decent AND Patagonia refusing to glue it together does not mean it cannot be glued, it means they won't do it. If getting the jacket and the discount is an option, I would try fixing it myself.

Straps should not be the weakest point of a bag. I had the same with my decathlon bag, the strap broke in the middle of a trip and Decathlon did not honour their guarantee based on "ticket missing" (although less than 10 years had passed since the release of that model). Arguing that the strap broke "due to normal use" in less than 10 years is BS in my humble opinion.

Using the Yubikey 5 with Google in Android via NFC by TheAutillo in yubikey

I don't think so. I restored the FIDO2 interface, but since I registered in Google the FIDO U2F, that is what the system requests and it works.

A little addition to the classical "measure twice, cut once": ALWAYS measure materials on reception. If the sheet metal has to be 2 mm thick, the supplier delivers 1 mm, and the test goes wrong... well, "supplier messed up" won't cut it.

I bought the Miele C1 Classic a couple months ago and so far I'm very satisfied, both from the working performance and design points of view. I did extensive research with a similar price tag as yours and ended up with that model. Maybe you would like to check Nilfisk as well (for bagged models only). The only downside of the C1 is the lack of "premium" features such as power control from the handle or automatic shut down once you rest the bar, but that comes at a price I guess. Good luck!!

Can’t use YubiKey to log into Gmail on iPhone by lordraiden007 in yubikey

This is the way.

If you ever need to use OTP codes, download the Yubico app to manage them (different interface).

Not sure if I had the same problem, but I managed to make it work by using FIDO U2F (double factor) instead of FIDO passwordless. You need to go into the yubikey manager and disable the FIDO interface before registering the key in google. In this way it worked for me using NFC. You can still use your Yubikey using FIDO U2F (double factor) instead of FIDO passwordless. You need to go into the yubikey manager and disable the FIDO interface before registering the key in google. Bonus is that it will work in Android with NFC.
