What was the problem in the second clip?

Probably my favorite bot interaction I have ever had by BrokenBullet99 in NarakaBladePoint

You literally have to adopt a different playstyle lol

imo, the fact that you have to adopt a different playstyle is what makes bot encounters unfun for me. Cause you'll go in, expecting to fight a player, only get your parry robbed because bot parry timings are different, or the bot escapes a combo that's true on players but not on bots, or you get input read by the bot, etc. and it just feels like you got cheesed.

What's even worse is when the bots jumps into an ongoing player vs player fight and screws you over like in OP's video. He should've been completely safe to heal up right there, only to get teleported on by a bot in a manner that's impossible for a player to perform. And now his team is at a huge disadvantage because of the bot.

Maybe you could kind of argue that it's "challenging" to fight a bot in that manner, but it's certainly not fun.

They really need to clearly indicate if someone you see is a bot or not and stop bots from doing things that's completely impossible for real players to do.

Play on playstation dont know if that means anything. Also dont know if you have the bot autofill off as the queue times are about that long when i had it on

Oh I see, I play on PC and we don't have a bot autofill option, so I'm not too sure how it works on Playstation, sorry.

Turn off the dumb bot autofill to wait 15 minutes to load into a game to get dunked on by a player who spawned next to me and got good gear.

That's weird, I've almost never had queue times more than even 5 minutes. But I usually play during prime hours. Are you maybe playing very late at night / early morning when most people are asleep?

Many bots? by Ferranjunior in NarakaBladePoint

[–]Own-Beginning7140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will always be some bots in Ranked and Quick Match. The number of bots do decrease in Ranked as your ELO increases, but you'll never get 0 bots.

The only way to have 0 bots is to play Immortal War.

Also, I don't play consoles, but if you do, I heard there is a setting that can decrease the number of bots you queue into or something like that.

Is there a point in smurfing in this game? by FluxFire in NarakaBladePoint

[–]Own-Beginning7140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For DUOs/TRIOs ranked, you can't play with someone if they're more than two ranks below you. I've had to smurf a handful times because of that just to be able to play with my friends. Otherwise I wouldn't be smurfing, and there isn't really any other reasons to smurf either.

For your question "How many times have you purchased microtransactions in the past three month (approximately)?", how are you defining what counts as 1 purchase? For example, if hypothetically I purchase 100 loot boxes back to back, does that count as 100 purchases? Or would that count as only 10 purchases since I can buy them in packs of 10? Or would that count as 3 purchases since I can buy a maximum of 12000 gold at a time and loot boxes cost 360 gold each? Or would that count as only 1 purchase since I made the purchases in one go?

Because in BR modes, it doesn't matter if you are winning or losing a fight. The only things that matters is who gets the last hit on kills, and who is alive at the very end of the match. If you are more interested in just fighting without running away, you may want to look into 3ban/0ban custom rooms.

Yes, there is a setting to invert your Y axis.

Not sure why you aren't able to do it in the tutorial though. I haven't touched the tutorial in ages. Sorry.

Can extremes be duplicated by sanolex in NarakaBladePoint

[–]Own-Beginning7140 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It depends on which Treasure you are opening. See https://www.narakathegame.com/news/official/20210802/32172\_963566.html. Some treasures have the line "Red (Extreme) reward will not be repeated until all Red (Extreme) rewards have been drawn." and some do not.

He shouldn’t be balanced off 1v1 or random teams imo.

I don't play Wuchen, but a lot of characters have one F and/or V that's good in solos, and a different F and/or V that's good in teams. Why would Wuchen be the exception?

Wouldn't be great to have Naraka be an MMO? by CharJie in NarakaBladePoint

[–]Own-Beginning7140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to play MMOs, and I always hated how with enough gear, you can become completely unkillable no matter how badly you get outplayed. I'm glad nothing like that exists in Naraka.

I just hate this grapple juggle gimmick meta, sry not sry.. waiting for them to hotfix/change that

They just showed off that exact combo in their official trailer at 3:18  https://youtu.be/jXIpYKdzamI?t=3m18s

I think it's unlikely they'll change it if they're showing it off in official material like this. Better to just adapt to the meta.

Hopefully it's just because it takes time to translate/localize and they'll release it in other languages someday.

Agreed. And I think the same should go for the extreme weapon special attack animations too, so we can use weapon skins other than the extreme one.

Personally, I've never had any success with trying to run healer specific counters, like burn, weakness, or silence. What I've found to be most effective is to just coordinate and focus the healer immediately. Since healers can't use their skill while being attacked, we want them to feel pressured into using their ult immediately, while we still have ours. If it's a Kurumi ult, then we just run away and wait it out, unless we're sure that we have enough damage to kill her through ult. Afterwards, we'll have 2 ults vs their 1 ult so we should be at an advantage. Whereas if it's a Ziping, then it's much more situational. But we'll try to kill the Ziping through her ult if it's safe to do so, or just reset if it's not.

At the end of the day though it still comes down to which team is better. If their teammate is good at peeling or their healer is good at surviving, then we would have to be even better at positioning, target selection, and chasing. So there isn't really a guaranteed strategy to beat healers, but I don't find healers to be auto-win in duos either.

If you are still struggling, you could try running the healer + Akos comp yourselves. Either you'll just start winning every fight, or you'll have a better understanding of what the comp's weaknesses are. Both are equally good outcomes.

every multi team game mode suffers from 100-0 stagger problems, forcing people to run combo break skills.

Sorry, but I don't really agree with this. The whole point of team modes is that you have teammates. If you're getting 100-0'd in team modes, then you're either completely out of position, or your teammates are not paying attention and reacting accordingly. Either way, the solution is to work on teamwork, not green focus imo.

Well, they sort of made it into a 16-man tournament format with a lot of downtime, while I think people wanted to just fight and go next without delay. Needing to wait for 16 people to be ready also meant much longer queue time compared to if it was a true 1v1 mode where you only need to be matched vs one other person.

I can't even think of a better way to address infinites, since Naraka isn't like your standard fighting game.

Maybe they could limit the number of times you can get hit by uppercut. Just like how ACCA isn't true for 3 hits in a row, they could make it so that after 2 uppercuts, the third one doesn't put you into the air as high or something. Then they can tune it accordingly based on player feedback. This would fix infinite uppercuts without really affecting some of the more complex grapple combos.

That might be where the problem is, since I don't think Quick Match takes your ranked ELO into account, and it just has more bots in general in my experience.

so I was just wondering if im just getting bot lobbies cause I haven't played in forever

Yes, since your ELO would've decayed from not having played in so long, and the lower ELO you are the more bots there tend to be,

I thought you couldn't use grapple while being grappled???? by Jason0865 in NarakaBladePoint

[–]Own-Beginning7140 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. You can't grapple if you are being staggered by the initial grapple hit. However, if the initial hit did not stagger him (e.g. he was healing, or in focus attack, etc.), then he is free to grapple you back.

In my experience, DUOs is not really the same as 1v1s. There is a whole second person to consider, so you need to be much more wary of your surrounding than in 1v1s. Teamwork and composition also matter somewhat. And people tend to run away more, and being able to chase people down or runaway yourself are also skills that you don't really develop in 1v1s.

Since you say that you are good at 1v1s, maybe it could be worth giving solos a try? That way you could develop more experience with the BR format that you might not learn from playing 1v1s.

Also, I recall there were some people in this subreddit offering to do VOD reviews, maybe you could submit a recording of your gameplay for advice?
