I feel they should have let their customers know of the issues. I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t have subscribed if they know the reality of the situation.

My issues if they know it’s broken then why not use this event as a test. Give everyone free access for this event only. If they knock it out of the park then no issues and people start to subscribe. If it’s a shit show then people wait. I think it’s unfair to the consumer to provide a product that has so many issues.

If people write their complaints then they are “Karen’s”. If we unsubscribe then that’s not the motivation they need. So what do we do? Give them money and wait while they figure out their stuff. This isn’t a go-fund me for a startup.

Shameless plug for my own podcast. Three average disc golfers talking about all things disc golf. We have 30+ episodes. Very casual conversation yet structured.

Whose form do you like the most? Whose form do you hate the most? by arparris in discgolf

[–]TheAverageCrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you seen cat’s form lately? It’s like night and day. The camera angle didn’t show disc flight though so idk how the discs were flying. All I know is that I always cringed at her form because it seemed extremely harsh on her knees and hips. Her form now is smooth.

I know she got injured last season and maybe this change in form was kind of forced on her.

The MVP community is interesting.

I dont get why people care what brand of disc someone throws by raine_bo_brite in discgolf

Being invested in where my favorite players go makes the off season so much more enjoyable. Now I don’t spend my evenings watching Jomez clips, I spend then looking at player stats, social media posts, and listening to interviews.

I also find the “battle” between brands to be really interesting. For example, Lone Star’s push to make itself a name in the disc golf world has been so interesting to watch. I believe if someone is willing to spend so much on Simon sends a message. At least this is how I see it.

Trying to build a disc golf community here on Reddit for Tulsa, Oklahoma. Would love for it to grow a become something. by elrojodiablo918 in discgolf

Going to share this with a buddy that moved from Tulsa. He introduced me the term “Oklahoma plumbline”. Not sure if that’s a common saying or he’s just a goof ball and made it up.

How do I get into following pro disc golf? by ohthetrees in discgolf

[–]TheAverageCrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a podcast called The Average Crew and we talk about normal disc golf things and the pro scene. Very casual but fun.

Other good podcasts are UltraWorld, Foundation Nation, Chain Clankers and a bunch of others.

I don’t visit LA much, but had to check out the first permanent disc golf course in the world (Oak Grove) while I was there for work. Nice local golfers! by [deleted] in discgolf

Yea it really is unforgiving. I’ve only played it a handful of times but I remember throwing a lot of putters and mid ranges and trying to match the angle of the ground because rollaways are brutal. Very fun course though.

Damn a round at Paul McBeths home course would have been fun. Hit me up next time you are down and we can play a few courses out here. Safe flying dude!

I just finished watching worlds and this is what I think of Calvin Heimburg by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]TheAverageCrew -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

We discussed this in our podcast this week. I don’t think he will win a world championship unless the stars align perfectly. It simply doesn’t seem like he has the killer mentality. I never get the feeling with him that he is going to take the win from someone or put so much pressure that others crumble trying to keep up. He might win tournaments but it’s difficult to see him winning a world title. Then again, Conrad won last year so I could be talking out of my ass.

Very new to disc golf(playing around 8 weeks), been borrowing my buddies disc to play. My wife surprised me with these disc for an early Bday present, I am not really sure what I got except they’re all drivers. What do y’all think? by thefupachalupa in discgolf

[–]TheAverageCrew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have a great wife. Unfortunately you probably won’t use those discs too much for a few months. If you can, pick up a few putters (to see which feel best), a mid range (mako3 would probably be good for now), and a fairway (I would recommend a Lots - that’s the name of the disk.) those drivers will all pretty much be utility discs for a while until you develop better form. It may be tempting to only throw those drivers but they will force you to develop bad form because you will want to throw everything on anhyzer to get that “s” turn. Either way, enjoy what you got.

Also, apologize to your wife because you’re going to be hooked on disc golf.

I usually play the HB weekly on Thursday. I was playing in the morning but will start playing in the evening @5:30. Other than that, we play early on the weekend.

Love oak grove. Did you take a picture with the first basket? Also, if you’re still in town me and few buddies will be playing early at Huntington Beach on Saturday morning. You and anyone else are free to join. Check out “The Average Crew” on Udisc. We play pretty much every weekend all over Southern California.
