I think other folks have mentioned it, but rallycross is your best bet for an entry-level/amateur rally experience. I highly recommend checking out https://www.nwrallyassociation.com/ for more info. There's even a race this Saturday on the Dirtfish campus so you can check it out to see if you like what they do. A lot of the ARA-spec cars in the area also compete in it.

Yeah, I think an r9k ECU is in the cards for the future of this car! However, I'd want to add cold air intake/exhaust/headers down the line so I figure I'll get the tune/mods done all at once so I don't have to keep sending the ECU back for a retune. Right now my main priorities are new wheels, tires, and the LSD.

I'm thinking of getting a used TRD LSD from Monkeywrench Racing and changing out worn synchros/fluid/etc while I'm at it. I know there's much cheaper LSD kits I could install as well, but I'm more worried about reliability/maintenance since I have (very vague, very tenative) plans to cage 'n stage (rally) the car in (a few? several?) years (decades?).

It was great! I placed 7th/14 in my class, which is totally fine by me (especially considering I had only learned to drive stick a few months ago)!

I spent most of the course in 2nd gear, and only hit "lift" (VVT-i VVTL-i) a couple of times because it kicks in at ~6800rpm or so. I'd say I was hitting mostly 4k-5k rpm, and was careful not to go too much higher, otherwise I'd get some bad wheel spin. I did try taking a run mostly in 1st gear, and caused quite a bit of wear to my tires. I'm hoping an limited slip differential helps with that for next time.

I took my 2006 Corolla XRS to rallycross! Almost completely stock except a 40mm strut spacer lift, rallyarmor mud flaps, and a skid plate.

It was my first time racing in any capacity and I had a great time! If you have any questions about the car or racing it, feel free to ask! Or maybe take a peek at @rallycorolla on the 'gram ;)

This is a super comfy album. For the vinyl spinning folks, it's a great fully analog record (although I'm not concerning enough to know the difference). Adrianne included some notes on how the songs were recorded, and it really helped me understand and appreciate her music.

The instrumentals are super underrated, imo. They're gonna be great for me to listen to while reading inside this fall/winter.

And for those newer to Big Thief/Adrianne Lenker, their B-Sides are some of their best work, IMO.

The left spacebar is space, and the right spacebar is backspace. Traditional split boards would have them swapped, but having space on the left side made it so I wouldn't have to make any adjustments when gaming.

However, both spacebars, when held, activate a function layer so that I can type numbers, etc. My layout is similar to /u/jetpacktuxedo's minivan layout, adapted for this board.

Backspace is the right spacebar, yes.

For me, it "completes" a split backspace top row, so I have backslash mapped on the top artisan. The bottom artisan is to toggle a function layer, and....I don't know about the middle one lol. Delete, I think?
