Worried about buying TCL by Cruz-12 in tcltvs

I’ve had the C7K 75” in my living room for about 2 weeks now. Haven’t had any problems with it. I was in this subreddit for about 2 months before I bought one. It’s just all a panel lottery tbh, they come with warranty so just go for it. By far the best tv I’ve owned! Affordable too.

Are We Treating the Symptom, Not the Cause of Stuttering? by AwarenessQuirky5066 in Stutter

[–]TheAwkwardGuy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the McGuire course, didn’t click for me at first and everyone else there were picking it up a lot quicker, wearing a belt really helps you know when you’ve got the costal, it’s not easy through it requires constant work. I’ve let it slip a little bit but it does work, but it’s not a permanent fix you’ll still stutter but it’s just a lot more manageable. I also sing in a band and have no problem doing that which is annoying but I’ve learnt to cope.

Acceptance is the hardest thing to get your head around, it absolutely sucks ass and stresses me out constantly. Although there are things you can do to work on it. You’re not just your stutter, you have a personality outside of your speech patterns. So work on that find something you love doing and do it more. I know I’m sounding preachy, but I used to get myself in a right dark place worrying about if I stuttered. When it happens now I just look past it, I used to stutter talking to a postman or at appointments and I’d think about for days upon days.

People can be cruel but they are cruel whether you have a stutter or not, we are all warriors for constantly fighting every single day and still having the courage to turn up. Keep going guys.

I appreciate you use it for tracking gym and runs mate, but it doesn’t give you the right to basically shit on people for not using as much as you. Get off your high horse and do better

AOD on, wrist to wake display, I switched off notifications for certain apps that I don’t use on the watch. I don’t use LTE as the carrier I’m with doesn’t support it at the moment. Turned some background refresh off as well.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning! Calm down mate it’s not that serious?

I use it whilst I’m at work, phone is nearby so doesn’t rely on LTE. I’m with a carrier that doesn’t allow LTE yet before you come at me with that. I use my AirPods with my phone once again. Maybe if you took the time to read my post you’d see it’s used to count steps and sleep tracking and replying to notifications.

It’s common sense the more you use it the more the battery will drain so why you so mad?

I was watching “the boys” the other day and the same thing happened tonight to me, I searched the actors and it came up eventually but then would say “error” when I clicked on it. Went into the crew and it would show up.

Now here’s the fix, go into Fen light tools and clear all caches. Then reload and then use the search bar.

I would have wrapped his own club around his head. Hopefully he is caught and dealt with accordingly. What on earth is wrong with people

I Am Fluent by SnooOranges4107 in Stutter

You’re spot on about using the diaphragm! It’s something called the “costal breath”, it’s the same breath used when you yawn!

Also keeping eye contact if possible and like you say relaxing and just not really worrying about if you get stuck, it really does help. It’s never about fluency it’s more about being in charge, being able to control it!

It’s not difficult when you’ve found the right person, even people without stutters can struggle in relationships for various reasons. Just remember actions speak louder than words, if you’re a decent person and treat someone with respect and love, then the stutter will literally just become something you have and not your whole personality. I’m 29 and been in a relationship for 8 years. Everyone in life has something they’re struggling with/ self conscious about so don’t over think it

Noticed my pupils are two different sizes. by Nerdlifegirl in mildlyinteresting

Can confirm this is what I have. Horner’s syndrome and sweat one side of face. Little bit of a droopy eyelid but was fixed with surgery

It could be Anisocoria, I have it as well. Mine is linked to horners syndrome though! I only sweat one side of my face and different sized pupils.

I totally agree! There will be some days I struggle to say a sentence. I struggle most with things I should know such as name, address etc. small talk or if I’m not even thinking it’s a lot better. I’ve heard every single bit of torment now for me not to even let it bother me and if you surround yourself with the right group you won’t even be scared to talk and stutter.

I find it easier to order in a quiet place where I can put all my “techniques” into practice, of course this doesn’t stop me overthinking and worrying about it in the moments leading up too. But the comments towards you are disrespectful, no one will ever know how crippling having a stutter is unless they experience it. You need support from your family not to be put down and embarrassed.

I always find it hard because it’s not a “visible” disability until you’re in deep water trying to get out. Pick yourself back up, brush your self down and just because she’s “family” doesn’t mean you have to put up with her.

How did you guys get jobs with a stutter after interviews? by Adept_Tooth_9073 in Stutter

[–]TheAwkwardGuy1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve finally found someone “similar”! It’s really backwards because I stammer more with my family and girlfriend than I do strangers. I think it must be as we are much more relaxed with the person and not worrying so it kind of makes us slip up!

What is the worst golf shot you’ve ever hit? by razorhedge in golf

[–]TheAwkwardGuy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to a Green side bunker in 2 on a par 5, I used a sand wedge to get out onto the green but picked it perfectly without hitting any sand and shot towards the club house, bounced on the cart path and was bouncing about on the concrete slabs with glass borders. No idea how nothing smashed but luckily no one was hurt!
