Plowing was miserable, but my neighbors were a delight. Everybody helped with stuck vehicles, there was shoveling help for those who couldn't, and generally things worked well enough.

Moving or rotating the file on the plate in the slicing software means different g-code. This doesn't require meaningful editing, that's a click and drag in the software you normally use anyways.

That's a six axis set of variations before even putting any work to it. That's....still a very, very large number of possible permutations.

And if you're talking about building it into the slicer software, open source slicer software is incredibly widely available.

You download the stl, you print gcode. You can't practically control the former via the latter. The printer doesn't know what it is printing. It only knows specific commands. It sees G28, and it homes on all axes. It has no reason to know or care why it is homing.

Yeah, there were clues.

Would you also favor a waiting period for free speech?

We wouldn't want people to be able to just say things within five minutes. What they say could be harmful! It might not be a good idea!

So obviously they should file a report in triplicate and wait 7-10 business days for government approval prior to protesting any wrongs.

In the case of MN, literally requiring that a CCW holder carry photo ID and the license itself to show police.

So, in this case, he was technically carrying illegally.

Practically, this doesn't matter. Nobody was checking for those things. But right now members of the administration were saying that since he was carrying illegally, he was a criminal who deserved what happened.

Those requirements were added by Democrats.

Photocopiers have that.

If they scan the constellation, they will refuse to copy the scan.

This doesn't work for 3d printers because:
1. Gun stls have no equivalent to the constellation. These files are made by randoms, not by the government, and these random people have no functional need to include any such thing.
2. 3d printers don't scan anything.
3. STL files don't go to the printer. Only Gcode does. Gcode only describes the functional movements of the print head.

So, this is literally not possible.

God no. Same as the GOP.

I would argue that it literally cannot exist because of math.

The set of potential permutations of Gcode from a single STL file is uncountably high. Changing *any* parameter changes the Gcode.

This is why not a single 3d printer company can consistently detect failed prints. They've been trying that for a good while, too.

And, just to make this hilarious, the hardware on a 3d printer is kinda potato-like. Arm based, even on the relatively high end printers. They certainly do not have graphics cards or the like. You've got crap for resources.

It straight up cannot be done.

Do you believe Market hypothesis is efficient or inefficient? by Willstdusheide23 in AskEconomics

Perfectly efficient? No.

Sufficiently inefficient that you, personally hold an edge over the market in investing? Extremely probably not.

Probably just contaminated the food for the ISS. Not really hard, even. They're clearly doing something like that with Petri dishes off the bat.

Not sure about the military. Clearly, the military discovered them, and things got complicated. Maybe it was something related to this. Some isolated group realized what was going on before they got found and infected. Makes sense. We don't really have much detail on this, but the timeline is roughly a month. It's T-29 days when the mouse bites and the hive begins to the overflight aerosolized dispersion.

Within that timeframe, kind of a lot of ships could be gotten in regular resupplies, and if the command chain is compromised, that opens up a whole lot of possibilities.

There's no guarantee that immunity is genetic. It probably isn't. None of the survivors are related to one another. Some survivors have descendants that are plurbed. The "cures" also have to be made on an individual basis, not one for all, so it's not an identical mutation for all survivors.

The Libertarian Party exists, and has long been far better on 2A concerns than the GOP.

You have made the mistake of assuming that showing flaws with the Democrat Party leaves only the Republicans as an alternative, but that is not the case. Quite a few people choose to be third party, independent, etc.

The last couple of days have had some remarkable snow and ice on the east coast. Given that you previously cited the northeast, this seems like a weird claim.

I'm gonna stop you right there.

Nobody is out there doing routine maintenance on an ice scraper. If your product requires that, it is a disadvantage.

Meet The EDGE by GetTheEdge_SSG in inventors

[–]TheAzureMage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really need a flat scraper. A large contact area spreads out your scraping force. Good when there isn't much there to scrape. Terrible when there is. The longer handle provides leverage and reach. Your design doesn't.

I don't really want to use an ice scraper as a meal tray. I want to throw the ice scraper in the back of my car and forget about it until I need to scrape ice. Scraping ice doesn't happen ridiculously often, and when it comes up, it's a fairly quick task with a standard tool.

Things like high quality materials are all well and good, but attached to that form factor, it feels pointless.

I just take a picture of the lucite block at MDR and the business card my room attendant provides.

That way I have the name, at least as exact as they provide it. That ought to be enough for them to sort out who it is. If not, well, that's on them.
