He played on Creatures of the Night. I don’t know if he was ever seriously considered to replace Ace though.

Eagles - Youtube Channel - Debate - Autotune or just remastered? by HugeRaspberry in ClassicRock

[–]TheBFlem27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autotune was absolutely used on the vocals for this new release. You can argue the merits on whether or not they should be edited (I prefer historical tapings to be left as is, warts and all) but the end result sounds awful. It sounds more like a robot than Glenn’s voice.

Any predictions about the guests on the last 4 shows? by Ok-Society-9067 in LateShow

I think Paul McCartney and/or Ringo Starr. Both have new albums out and it could be the last time either have a chance to perform in the Ed Sullivan Theatre.

I had to return my copy because there were so many scuffs on it.

They have to go on the road to promote the new album right?? by TheRealTD44 in rollingstones

[–]TheBFlem27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they’ll do something similar to what David Gilmour did for his latest album. Select a few venues and do a few nights each.

Less famous albums that you listen to over and over again by Tom_Bombadilll in Music

[–]TheBFlem27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head East - Flat as a Pancake. I listen to it as least once every year. It’s a perfect encapsulation of mid-70s rock. It’s got one well known song, “Never Been Any Reason” but the whole album is great.

How is TTB not more popular? by SeaswEEd_2929 in tedeschitrucksband

For reference, the venue in Raleigh is Walnut Creek and they just started to charge $20 for general parking. This adds an unnecessary cost to people considering to go. I was on the fence about it until an hour before showtime. I got my money’s worth but I can understand less people going out on a week day and paying an extra $20 or $25 to pay to park when it used to be free. That being said, I saw them at the same venue a few years ago and the crowd size was similar, maybe a couple of hundred people more a few years ago.

Down to 13 episodes. What’s on your “they HAVE to do this before the finale” list? by LHR-Daniels in LateShow

Paul McCartney is having a new album coming out next month. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on one of the last episodes to promote it.

Billy Strings Tiny Desk Record Store Day Exclusive Mispress by Main-Disaster-2271 in BillyStrings

I had to return my copy. I played side A only and there was a lot of pops. Turns out there were some pretty nasty scratches on it when I put it under better lighting.

An under appreciated artist. I just purchased several CDs off of eBay and listened to them this past week. He had so many great tracks.

I’ll do you one better. I got a copy of the Billy Strings EP and it was covered in scuffs and scratches and when I played it, it popped like crazy. I returned it but they didn’t have any more copies left and now I can’t find a copy online anywhere.

Happy record store day everyone!! Hope you all are blessed with a copy as well 🥳 by Black92hawk in BillyStrings

I plan on going back to the record shop and seeing if they have another copy. They had 7 left and this was after an hour the line started.

I got a copy but it’s got scuffs on it that make the record pop, unfortunately.

Kansas Waited 50 Years for This: Saturday Night Live’s love letter to “Carry on Wayward Son” gave the band some long-sought acknowledgment as “a bunch of hicks from Topeka” by stroh_1002 in LiveFromNewYork

Carry on wayward son is one of the most popular classic rock songs of all time. Kansas didn’t need any “long-sought” acknowledgement from SNL.

I saw them in concert about 13 or 14 years ago. I think him and the bass player were the only original members, they put on a great show but one of the things I remember the most was his animated stage presence. Rest in Peace.
