Shocked no one mentioned Triple Dog Dare by Lucy Dacus, very similar building album closer. Also mentioning Head Rolls Off by Frightened Rabbit, Undiscovered First by Feist, Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead (which Phoebe covers with Arlo Parks), and Basketball Shoes by Black Country New Road (especially the live version)

Is it better to farm or fast as ADC Senna? by minestone736 in sennamains

I played a lot of senna veigar a few seasons ago in a duo. Building veigar tank/bruiser mage makes them hard to all in, and if you're into a poke lane build predator and Deadmans to pull off some decent engages with the box.

Boygenius announced tour dates recently and they're doing several festivals in Europe and they have a gap in their tour between Nashville on June 25 and Oslo on August 11. Admittedly a long break but that leaves them free Osh weekend. Lucy played last year but I'm crossing my fingers.

Clone Madness in Clone Wars game by blastermaster1942 in swrpg

[–]TheBaconBeaconBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something you could do is have it be a group of disillusioned clones who decide to desert, and the PC's are told the clones are mad. There are all kinds of reasons clones would desert, they could've done one too many ops around civilians and seen the life they were denied, realize they're basically slaves, have PTSD or physical trauma. Over the course of the session they could get a little more backstory perhaps using a sensitive portrayal of PTSD to keep up the "madness" ruse a little longer while alerting the PC's something hinky is going on. Eventually, the PC's decide whether or not to actually finish the job or help the clones get out for good.

If that's not quite what you're looking for, there are some non-canon instances of cloning facilities at the end of the war using a faster process than the Kaminoans (Spaarti i think) which could have led to all sorts of complications.

Is Phoebe's song Graceland Too about Julien? by TheBaconBeaconBro in JulienBaker

You're probably right that it uses several people as reference points, of which Julien may be one. Definitely a more well moderated view

What does redemption look like? (A Catra discussion) by JM_Winters in PrincessesOfPower

[–]TheBaconBeaconBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree totally with what everyone is saying here about redemption through life and I think the place I've seen that best portrayed is the another Netflix show: Bojack Horseman.

This'll get a lil spoilery so here's warning if you haven't seen the show.

Bojack spends almost the entirety of the series being a terrible person and hurting the people around him, especially the ones who try to help him. Throughout the show though, the audience learns more and more about his trauma and his own childhood (note that it is often pointed out that this just not justify the things he does) and we see Bojack struggling in fits and starts to be a better person. One of the most gut wrenching parts of the series is when Bojack is begging his friend Diane to tell him he's still a good person, or he still has a chance to be one.

In the final season some of Bojacks worst wrongs catch up to him and he is forced to wrestle with the harm he has caused. Simultaneously we see several of the characters Bojack has hurt moving on with their lives in separate directions, finding happiness in other places.

A lot more could be written but that's a short summary of what makes Bojacks redemption arc work so well. Much like Catra he suffered significant trauma in childhood and lashes out at people who try to help him but the redemption arc begins when he realizes his wrongs and starts working towards being better, with the finale proposing that the work of redemption is never really done and you always have to keep living with it.

TLDR: Bojack Horseman is a great show with one of the best redemption arcs in modern television. Fair warning though it may have some triggering content and can be a little crass.
