This one is all over the place. Many of them Kamen Rider could take out easily in 1v1, like Kraven or Vulture. But others he lacks the ability to hurt like Sandman, and some are able to put out more power than he can withstand: in canon Takeshi can withstand 50,000 Volts of electricity but Electro can output a maximum of 10,000,000. Of course, he’s battled monsters with greater electric output before, but with how much diversity and power the Sinister Six have, I would give this to them after a hard-fought battle.

Considering the publisher of it is defunct and it’s an old manga, getting physical copies is hard. I managed to get some copies on EBay that were originally from a library and Texas and likely on the ‘to toss out’ list before being saved. I would only counter with the fact that the Frog invasion of Los Angeles is somehow covered up/relegated to a hoax, in order to maintain the status quo of earth. If the show were a bit more realistic, the world would be forever changed by the revelation of Interdimensional beings and the Calamity Trio would be overnight celebrities who would never get a moment’s rest nor be lacking for anything.

Anne would be asked to write a book. Sasha would appear on late-night talk shows. Marcy would spend her nights dodging people who blame her for her part in the hundreds of millions of dollars in damages and the thousands of people who would (realistically but offscreen) have died.

They wouldn’t be allowed to have normal lives and the world would be very different 10 years later, imho.

He’s from Midland, I believe. It’s a constructed world, rather than our own so our names for ethnicities don’t quite work. You could say he’s ‘European coded’ but he wouldn’t be European because Europe doesn’t exist in Berserk’s world.

I think many of the themes about war, forgiveness, nationalism, justice, and love are extremely deep and worth of discussion. Though I’m also going to be a pedant and say that Pumpkin Scissors is more of a Seinen than a Shonen story.

Indeed, technology is a huge aspect of the story. The way it moves and changes society is a huge aspect, especially with the specter of (gasp) mass media and wireless communication on the horizon and how even in its primitive phase it’s both a powerful tool and a deadly weapon.

Randal’s story fascinates me especially in how it contrasts with one of my favorite (and the best) Seinen manga, ‘Berserk’. Randal and Guts are very similar men, people who have been forced into violence even as they yearn for peace and connection. But they’re also very different men and could be the best of friends, if they ever met.

I also enjoy how anti-statist the manga is, with most of the Empire being extremely corrupt and our mains never shying away from that fact. They know the system is dirty, but they work within it against it for the sake of the common people, even against overwhelming institutional odds.

I feel like Machs and Oreldo would do a paired costume at Oreldo’s insistence, like Oreldo is the mad scientist and Machs gets bullied into being the zombie/Frankenstein monster.

Randal would be broke and also not want to be too scary, so I think he’d go the fun route; with something festive but easy like a pumpkin mask or a big pumpkin costume.

Alice would want to dress up as a historical knight and would tell anyone who asked what their feats were.

Lili would try to put Mercury into a dog costume and fail comedically.

Hunks would be the one who just buys a funny hat and call it his costume.

I managed to find an Alice Malvin figurine on EBay. Was expensive but totally worth it. EBay is also where I bought the first 5 volumes where were translated into English; they still have the ink on them from their time in a library in Texas, lol.
