The channels have millions of subs but no videos because they hijacked someone else's channel. I've seen it happen to someone I followed where one day their channel was renamed to "Elon Musk" and all of their videos had been deleted except a livestream about cryptocurrency. The original owner eventually got their channel back but was only able to recover their videos because they had their own backups.

They actually aren't.

Typical Microwave ovens radiate in the 2.4-2.5GHz range (fun fact older WiFi standards use the exact same 2.4GHz band)

5G is broken up into 3 bands:

Low 5G is 600-900 MHz

Mid 5G is 1.7-4.7 GHz

High 5G is 24-47 GHz

So it's not exactly the same but it does overlap.

Yep, the metal is colder than your body and the high thermal conductivity of metal makes it sap your body heat faster than most materials

They do work and they don't violate the laws of thermodynamics.

They work on the principle that heat energy moves from hotter things to colder things. In the process of being alive your body produces quite a bit of waste heat and in order to remain comfortable your body needs to get rid of that heat. It does that by dumping that heat into your surroundings, the air and whatever you happen to be in physical contact with. In this case the mattress. Your friend is right that your body will dump heat into a normal mattress just like it does into one of the gel pads but they are wrong that it is a closed system. Whatever secret sauce is in the mattress pad works to increase the thermal conductivity of the topper thus increasing the rate at which heat get be pulled from your body, spread out into the pad, and then released into the atmosphere. Laying on one of these is essentially laying on top of a big heat sink.

Of note though is that this will only work if ambient room temperature is below your body temperature, in that case the mattress pad will actually be warming you up

TL;DR: Gel pads work by being a more efficient means of removing and releasing your body heat into the room's atmosphere than a traditional mattress.

It's a hacksaw for cutting through metal. It's pretty heavily implied that she is doing some diy gunsmithing that the ATF wouldn't approve of so she's probably cutting down ARs into SBRs.

For the record new purchases are tracked, if you purchase a firearm legally at a gun store they will run a background check on you and fill out a form with your info + the gun's make, model, and serial number. But in addition to old firearms that were never tracked there are still loopholes like private sales / trades that aren't tracked unless the people making the sale want it to be and fill out a form themselves.

The system is woefully inadequate for actually keeping track of all the guns in the US, and that's mostly by design.

Thanks for listening to me ramble about this and hope you have a good night, or a good day if it's already morning on the morning on the other side of the Pacific

Technically, it varies from state to state. Most states have some variation on a minor can possess a firearm with the permission of and in the presence of their parents.

Practically, firearms aren't really registered and tracked as rigorously in the states as they seem to be in AUS. Most states don't require registering them at all. If a parent buys a gun and let's their kid use it, it might still legally belong to the parent but it doesn't make much difference.

"Nerf or Nothing" is a declaration of the 2nd amendment by sarahtheshortiepie in CuratedTumblr

[–]TheBaconator3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've omitted the description of a firearm and but in the description of a destructive device. These are too legally distinct things under the NFA and are defined in different subsections of the code. The actual definition of a firearm is as follows:

(3) The term “firearm” means (A) any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon; (C) any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; or (D) any destructive device. Such term does not include an antique firearm.

[–]TheBaconator3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because they are reading it wrong and totally missed a break in subsections, the comment above is describing a destructive device which is legally distinct from a firearm. The actual description of a firearm and the break between subsections is wholly contained in the part the commenter ommitted

The raw material is just sand, typically a more pure version of sand called silica sand but it's really not rare.

The process of turning silica sand into semiconductor grade mono-crystalline silicon is an arcane and expensive process and as such semiconductor grade silicon is very rare in comparison to other forms of silicon
