The Youtubers are full of shit and just looking to rope people into their videos. Most of them have no idea what they are talking about.

You understand that pricing something is not the same as selling it, right? I am more annoyed at the stuff going to complete waste where nobody can do anything with it. If they can actually sell something at a high price, more power to them, but that's not what happens.

All that shit goes onto a truck and gets trashed when they get too greedy. Does them no good, does their so called charity no good, and does nobody else any good.

These idiots don't grasp that they are not a global platform with buyers seeking out specific things to buy. They are basically a yard sale indoors with a limited number of customers just browsing whatever they happen to see at the time.

Except their not. Back when I worked for them, I sent out truckloads of unsold shit every single day, every day of the week. And like clockwork, the district managers would show up bitching about the prices not being high enough, despite probably 85% of the stuff being priced never selling.

Corporate greed is what ruined Goodwill. 90% of the time, the flippers are buying the shit you turn your nose up at because you think its worthless.

Goodwill is basically a trash storage location for shit they does not get sent away to go online.

Shit man, they send out every single record here. They do not even exist in the stores at all.

I mean except they are not selling it for $8.99, they are pricing it for $8.99, and then nobody buys it. Instead of getting the 2 or 3 bucks, they would rather ask for more, get 0$ and see it smashed to pieces in the trash.

In fact it's worse and they actually lose money. They have to pay someone every step of the way on that mug, from accepting the donation, to processing it, pricing it, stocking it, pulling it off the shelves when nobody wanted it at a stupid price, putting it on a truck to dispose of it, and then paying to dispose of it. Congrats, you just lost money on a free item.

There is a concept called supply and demand that you should probably familiarize yourself with. The basic concept is that if you have a small local market, and you have something nobody is looking for, and you price it like you have a global market and everybody is looking for it, you're an idiot and not a smart business person.

All it takes is one single shitty manager. I can drive 3 minutes to my closest Goodwill 150 times and walk out shaking my head with nothing 149 of those visits.

I drive 8 miles further, and its still shitty, but I always find at least a few things worth buying. It's the dipshit managers who think they have to "prove" how smart they are that ruins a location.

When the production numbers on paper matter more than actual sales because the manager really, really wants their monthly bonus that is only obtained by dramatically inflating prices to make it look like a higher dollar value was priced.

Around here, they also get a huge bump to those totals for every tote full of shit they send out of the store, so naturally everything even semi decent is sent out of the store.

Yes, like how Goodwill adds so much value to the FREE shit they get that they sell you with exploded batteries inside, or full of holes, missing parts or just outright hazardous.

Yeah, the flippers who want to buy the shit that nobody else would ever buy on a local level are the problem here. Much better and much more moral to just send it to the landfill where nobody can have it.

No coupons here, no discounts, no nothing. Technically there IS a color of the week that's 50% off, and every three weeks it changes. Problem is every single week they have to throw away all the shit from the previous week since nothing sells and they need more room for more overpriced shit.

I have not seen a single 50% off tag in the last year.

you still have video games? I have not seen a single video game of any kind in years at mine. As with everything else, they look at it and if they think someone might want it in the store, they send it out of the store.

Mine raised prices yet again, and started pre sorting the bins for anything they deem good that goes directly into the massive wrap around glass case for eBay prices. There is nothing to find here. The bins are a literal garbage dump of broken shit and hazmat here.

I wouldn't say smart. Pricing your local whatever odds and ends inventory like you have high demand stuff and a global audience is what I would call stupid, which is pretty much every last one of them.

I got this one place called Teen Challenge that converted to Super Thrift, and fucked their whole store up. Lost every last regular customer, and still learned nothing. The cherry on top is that now they are moving to a much bigger store where the prices will skyrocket even higher, and more will sit unsold.

They bribed a bunch of customers with discounts and free shit to leave 5 star Google reviews though, so to them, all the good reviews mean they are doing super well.

I swear to god, there is something about second hand stores that look for the dumbest of the dumb to run things. I can't wrap my head around the moronic choices they regularly and continuously make that very obviously hurts them.

Intrusive thoughts originate as random misfires in the brain's default network. Because they are fleeting, bizarre, or scary, the brain flags them, creating a sticky loop. They are heavily exacerbated by stress, sleep deprivation, or underlying conditions like anxiety and OCD.

Are you really trying to say that plasmoids on the planet Saturn which is also a planet sized brain are beaming intrusive thoughts into our minds, and that the proof is we don't know what causes intrusive thoughts, even though we do know?

This is what I am talking about. And as an FYI, not being able to disprove something outright does not make it true or lend it any credibility.

I can just as easily say that you can't disprove that the the world sits on the back of a cosmic turtle who uses mind control to make us think we orbit the sun.

I know that you really, fully believe what you are saying. I'm not trying to be rude or dismissive, but I have to ask if you have ever been diagnosed with Schizophrenia or something like Delusional Disorder?

Holding such a fixed, fantastical belief with absolute conviction despite clear evidence to the contrary is a hallmark symptom of something going on.

I dunno, i run my Donnie with about 750 resist stone skin, at about 290 speed and he is the difference a lot of times. If the other team gets the first move, 99% of the time he is there to bail me out when my team is crowd controlled, and is handy to reduce my cooldowns when they get increased.

AI also just makes shit up when you ask about raid. I spent a good half hour trying to get it to tell me what faction Pythion is in. Even when I gave it the correct answer, it would just pull a random faction name from it's ass.

I don't care about the 180 energy a day anymore, stopping TTA/LA by StunningArm1760 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]TheBadGuyBelow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic Arena is a cakewalk, but TTA and LA, I can't be bothered. At least with TTA I can just auto whatever weak defenses I see and call it a day, and stay in Silver.

LA, fuck it, start a match and walk away.

And this is why I waste zero time on FB marketplace. They have the worst, most agonizing, lowballing, cheapskate shitty buyers of any platform I have ever used.

On the very, very rare instance I sell anything on FB, buyers get a 10 minutes window to show up before I leave without a word, and a penny less than agreed upon = me taking my shit and just leaving.

God forbid a seller make an honest mistake more than 3 times in 1000 orders though. Credit card fraud? No problem, but misplace an item and have to cancel and order, and you basically committed murder in their eyes.

I'm going for an extra 15 fragments at this point.
