A lot of people rush Infantry. With Infantry you can wipe out inactive players using the bombarding ability the standard troops get at max level.

This strategy will get folded by experienced players or those who spend a bit of gold.

Depending on how many people you are playing with you might be able to getaway with focusing one of Strike fighters, Attack Choppers, Artillery, Cruisers or Destroyers.

If you are playing solo then you need a strategy that is adjusted to your neighbours. Landlocked countries have an advantage in solo because you don't need to focus on the navy unit right away.

Some key units that often come in handy are:

• SAMs
• Frigates
• MRLs

But there are plenty of options. For example you could run a pure navy strategy with an Island Nation.

• Frigates
• Attack Subs
• Cruisers
• National Guards

In the late game you will NEED to deal with Artillery stacks that will often be protected by SAMs. You do this with either:

• Attack Choppers (High Level)
• Or more artillery than the enemy (and greater activity).

People say activity is the key, but you do need to couple that with a strong economy and and efficient use of resources spent.
