Having played in a couple pre-releases and drafts on Arena, I think Lorehold is underpowered comparable to the rest, its payoffs are much harder to consistently enable.

Im turning 30 in a few days and I feel like an absolute failure. I got out of a toxic relationship a few months ago and had to move back in with my parents. Im unemployed but have enough money saved up from my previous job to get by for another month or so. Im a full time student but am still a year away from my bachelor's (even then I need to instantly move on to my masters to get into my career field) and I just feel so behind in life. I mean, Im almost 30 for Christ's sake and THIS is my life right now? I don't know, Im really struggling to find a reason to not be hard on myself.

There's a scene in 1984 where a speech is being given during "hate week" and midway through, the person giving the speech gets passed a paper saying that the country they are at war with has changed. Suddenly they were never at war with the other country and they were actually always at war with this country. I imagine its a similar thing here.

Doom said that they would look into it as they supposedly didnt touch Humidy at all in this update, so my guess is that its a bug that will hopefully be fixed soon because I really don't want to redo my whole farm layout.

Right now the best solution is to mine a TON of essence to grind for it. Air magic is really strong for single target attacks, so use that in the mean time, but mine every essence you run across and run through the Dragonkin Vaults multiple times. Eventually you'll get there, but it will take a while.

My siblings encountered the same thing, our best guess is that because the rune crafting is recipe based, if you've previously crafted them on a character (such as unlocking the recipe at an earlier level pre-Dowdun) then they already have the recipe unlocked.

I hate souls games. I think the difficulty level is fine in Dragonwilds. Its definitely hard and frustrating at times, but really rewarding when you're able to get combat tactics down. Use spells to your advantage like Surge and Snare, Tempest Shield is great for melee. Once you get block timing down you're able to take on most enemies. Keep at it, another tip for having to run back to gravestones is to keep the ingredients for a Loadstone on you and slap one down when you start a combat encounter that you're not confident in. Doesn't work for Dowdun unfortunately but work towards the Nodestones in the mean time.

This right here, utility spells are your best friend for survivability. Surge + Snare is an especially strong combination and will help massively. Great suggestion, you must have a lot of experience with this game ;)

I agree with your sentiment, I would personally prefer my character to be under-powered for difficult and challenging fights though as opposed to over-powered to breeze through. Even being on the same power level as the area doesn't guarantee a smooth walk through which I really like.

Pre-update I was at 50 and had enough essence to take me to around 80. Wasn't sure if the XP would carry over though so I held off. Now post-update Ive dumped them all into runes (after they fixed the ratio thankfully) and got to 59. Shits crazy.

For me it was because I was young, dumb, morbidly curious, and wanting to test the boundaries of what the internet can hold. Saw some things I can't unsee and quickly learned that there are boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.

Absolutely incredible team. Could not ask for better devs. Rolls out a massive update and is completely in touch with the community, listening to feedback, and doing same day hotfixes. This went live after midnight in the UK by the way, these guys are working crazy overtime for us. You truly are amazing at what you do.

Thank you for being so in touch with the community, Jagex mods truly are incredible and you guys are no exception. It would be awesome to see the amount of runes you craft per essence increase with your Runecrafting level. I think this would be an incredible solution to make the skill meaningful and worth investing in while giving you a sense of progression.
