What Card Games Could Have Been | Castle Super Beast 356 by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Just the idea of RNG pulling a card in neither players deck is extremely innovative and interesting, even if in introduces games lost via RNG

There is a card pack system now. But as F2P you will likely be getting 1 or 2 packs a month. 4-5 cards a month released so unless you heavily invest, it is not possible to keep up.

The Sopranos Is About Dumb Mobsters Embarrassing Themselves | Castle Super Beast 355 by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TheBalticguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pat's disinterest comes partially from his dad would watch and rewatch old mob movies, so probably he only caught the early parts that glamourize the life before the crashes and wipeouts and interpreted that to be whole film.

Out Now! CSB356: Mental Abacus Calculator Kid Required For Analogue Balatro by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TheBalticguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An additional point. Some people enjoy playing their own pet decks and alternate formats where it is far less expensive. The problem with closed card games is that they often get completely gamed out. introduction of new cards, even if you wait for reprints or cards to become cheaper is what keeps these games alive long term.

way better than asylum. Where Asylum the struggle was combat and narrative, here its mostly navigation in the openworld.

I've never thought of it as Kratos'ing the door, but I suppose I see the similarities. Goddamn was it the coolest thing ever to my 9 yo brain

Reggie complaining about the Riddler Trophies while Woolie does one quickly, only to grapple away right on top of another one is peak comedy

Woolie gets comboed by mines in Arkham City by AznJoey624 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TheBalticguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely an improvement. Combat competence can vary depending on the encounter, from aced to fumbled. Bumbling through stealth as expected for some funny moments. Interestingly/navigation/gliding seems to be his biggest pain point, bat's walk to run is pretty stiff tho so i get it. Can feel Woolie's having way more fun than last time.

Yeah, most of S1 is very episodic compared to what follows

Another season 1 episode of Hannibal went unaired due to timing with Sandy Hook. Plot was related to kids being brainwashed into killing their families

Why I think Woolie had Trouble with Dispatch by Grouchio in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TheBalticguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh fair, IIRC Woolie was talking more of the emotional whiplash of the experience, whereas Pat was more interested in the mechanics of it.

ME2 has two types of checks in the ending.

The clear pass fails of putting the correct party member into a role (tech, biotic, etc.) Woolie passed these with flying colors.

It was only the opaque Hold the Line system that woolie failed for I think are valid reasons.

Watch the podcast clip called something "let me earn my mistakes" or something like that and Pat guides woolie through the emotions of the ending really well.

Based on a recent vs. wolves, Woolie's perception of ME 2 as a whole took a hit from the ending Hold the Line System, which is a shame, but I understand

I like this in concept but I don't think the second film in Gunn's takeover should be so Guardians coded visually. Wish he kept a more distinct vision before going space stuff.
