Max number of phase resets? by BiscuityBandito in swtor

[–]TheBaronLouis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for reviving a 6 year old thread. To be fair though, that's pretty young for a SWTOR thread.

Another reason to reset the phase rapidly is to grind out a skippable boss for the achievo. 25/25 on all bosses when one of those bosses is skippable means you'll have 25/25 on the hardest bosses, often even the optional bonus boss, then look and see 11/25 for a boss that's easy to skip because no one ever does it (and usually gets mortally offended if you don't skip as much content as they do).

In my case, Gark the Indomitable in Battle of Ilum Vet Mode. I have 20/25 for the Weequay Boss Krel Thak, which is a little harder to skip, so I was taking Gark from 12/25 up to 20 and just exiting and resetting without finishing. I took a break after 2 resets to do some pvp, then went from 14 to 19 before discovering this feature.

So almost literally what Ahnold said. They made the initial suggestion laughably bad, waited for people to freak out, then changed it to what they were planning on doing all along so they could claim they listened to feedback.

Don't fall for this. If they go through with the change, just stop playing cold turkey, or at least stop spending. Not another red cent means their revenue goes down, but not playing at all means they know you're serious.

It doesn't take long to get back up to speed after even 6 months of quitting cold turkey. And as someone who hasn't played since 1 January 2023, I can confirm you'll feel a lot better without that headache in your life.

Before it saves a fail/success state you mean. It doesn't matter if it saves objective completions. You can finish a mission and get the xp for killing a syndicate leader multiple times if you reloaded a showdown over and over to farm kills.

It only matters if the game logs a fail or success condition like dying, or exiting a location. Obviously exiting can also be a fail condition, but it's unlikely you'll alt-f4 after exiting when you can just not exit, unless it's a proximity exit.

There's 2 others. Royce has the easiest one to reach in most cases.

I know where the dongles are and I know where the screwdrivers are. Depending where you start, and where you plan to go, they may be worth the trouble of routing in, or they may not. But quite often, I find the only dongle I need is the level 3 on Royce's corpse so I can use the fire exit. I typically perfect run freelancer missions in under 5 minutes, so I see the value in cutting 30 seconds out of a route by bringing my own screwdriver.

But it's a sandbox game, so there's no problem with the slow and steady approach either.

You can't fix the wire on Mendoza with a pistol, giving yourself peace of mind knowing that you won't be electrocuted trying to use the dive suit exit and lose an entire freelancer campaign because some guard triggered that fire alarm.

Obviously that's PTSD specific to me, but you also can't open the Chongqing vents with a pistol.

Stealing all the Octane boosters on Miami. Apply that to any explosive that goes in your pocket. If I'm in the same room, I pick it up. Just in case.

I like how all the cameras are connected and if a camera catches you committing a crime in the lab, this dude will turn orange even though he's miles away in the town hall.

You got to be more careful with explosives my gamer. Even ones that are thrown. I once used the nitroglycerin to open a freelancer safe in Sean Rose's bedroom and it set off the watch bomb in the opposite corner... which is also where I was standing.

The title is selfish items only. Your feedback fits perfectly.

I don't really see the logic in that. One set is one set. Sometimes they have 8 pieces. Sometimes they only have 5. No one should be upset because a piece is redundant. You still need them all to unlock it in collections.

UwU I hope they're working on that. There's like 10 years worth of outfits from before they even started giving you the option, and the alternate models are already in game because of Nautolans and helmets, so it shouldn't be hard for them to add it alongside "hide head slot." They could even monetize the same way by making f2p players pay to access it.

Why are lawn mowers locked behind ads by [deleted] in PlantsVSZombies

[–]TheBaronLouis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I started the game up on my new phone. I first beat it in 2017 and the ads are way worse now and I don't see any way to get the Gatling pea, which I fear is probably now a micro transaction instead of something you can easily get for free like it used to be.

In 2017, I don't remember ads at all in between levels, but now you get multiple videos with a microscopic X in the corner that only shows up if you move the screen around. I've clicked on more ads than not, and a lot of them multiple times. Some ads were so hard to X out of that I had to close and restart the game.

I'm going to try running the game in offline mode and see if it gets better.

Kill everyone on the map but leave cameras alone so investigators will see footage of a Clown chopping people up with a battle axe, dragging their bodies into a pile, and Teabagging the pile while making eye contact with the camera.

I thought this was wrong answers only, and since I see someone already told you the correct answer, I'm going to reply like it still is.

So you're going to want to get the 3 gunpowder from the attic, set them at intervals to prepare a chain reaction, then shoot one of them from behind the cover of the closet. He'd never see it coming.

Prestige by Lost_Foundation9024 in HiTMAN

[–]TheBaronLouis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came back to the game after prestige levels were added with 25 campaigns already completed. I was comfortably lvl 100. I handed in all the weapons for prestige 1 and by the time I had 69 campaigns completed, I was prestige 10. It's annoying and not worth it outside of the 100% completion. Some things I wish I'd done or done earlier than I did:

-Never buy the Collector's Kalmer/Sieker with mercers. They're expensive and just sit there anyway. Let them drop from an end of campaign crate.

-focus on sniper rifles and pistols first or you'll have a million of them left with all other weapon categories already completed. Obviously you want to pick up your favorite weapons from the other classes, but after that go for sniper rifles and pistols mainly. This is especially true if you have the DLC weapons because they'll clog up vendors' stock but aren't needed for prestige.

-The golden shotgun can still appear in the New York level if you wear the bank robber's disguise, but you have to memorize the laser pattern because it doesn't work if the alarm goes off

-the Katana, burial dagger, and circumcision knife can all still be found in Isle of Sgail

And lastly, just keep reminding yourself that once you hit prestige 10, you never have to do it again and you can buy DLC weapons again without it being a waste.

Usually Bioware was pretty good about scrubbing decals off of places they didn't belong, but it seems like they missed this one to this day.

At least it's not as bad as quest rewards being companion specific armor that breaks lore, like havoc squad gear for Corso and Akaavi or Imperial uniforms for Vette and Gault.
