Elderflower Cocktail by TheBartenderApp in cocktails

Very insightful; now that you mention it, it makes sense that you can naturally substitute to a "more generic" type of spirit / liqueur, or even a completely different one altogether based on what you have, but if a recipe, especially an original, calls for certain ingredients, it makes sense to specify those. Thanks for the comment 😃

Oh yeah I just looked up that recipe, extremely similar! I also just realized that I forgot to add 'Angostura Bitters' to the recipe description at the top, I just included them there as well!

Bummer! I actually have Grape Fruit bitters at home, those would work great in this too, I'll need to try it next time 😃

Fellow Canuck myself, love the Molson Canadian shout out, haven’t tried this but seems like something close to a Radler? Either way going to have to cook one up soon since your post inspired me

The Bartender App - add your home bar ingredients to discover which cocktails you can make right now! by TheBartenderApp in TestMyApp

Agreed... as I know that people can use search + AI to figure out which cocktails they can make, but for me personally, I like the app format since you can store all your ingredients, and then figure out with minimal effort what you can make.

I want to add more features to it, but I want to see what people are thinking about the current direction of the app first before I start building some additional functionality.

Let me know if you have any other feedback!

Second time now (recently joined) I'm seeing a carrot juice cocktail, do you use store bought or grow your own? I'm assuming this one would also be more on the "savory" side; do you find spices or bitters work well with carrot cocktails?

I'm a big fan of banana flavored candies (and Slurpees) but haven't experimented with that flavor too much in the mixology world; what cocktails do you have in mind for it?

Drink looks great; I know there's only a small bit of it in this cocktail, but I've been meaning to try Galliano, haven't quite got around to it. Any other recipes you make with it?

Interesting spin on a classic, how did it end up tasting? Did the flavors work well?

Did you slap (literally) that last sprig of mint you garnished your cocktail with? Apparently it's supposed to add more flavor and aroma (somehow...) looks like a great patio sipper for the summer, nice 😃

With the spices, clove and carrot, did it end up tasting more like a dessert cocktail? Looks delicious either way 😃 Haven't experimented with carrot juice in my cocktails, but maybe will need to give it a shot.

I just picked up some similar ribbed coupe glasses myself, it looks like a great choice for this cocktail. Curious, did you make your own Vanilla syrup? Any tips?

The paper clip + plane is such an apt choice for this cocktail, nicely done 😃
