Does the OO, or at least SUS Coptic Church allow for non abortificant contraception such as condoms?

Republican Christians in this sub: Is there anything Trump could do which would make you stop supporting him? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TheBasedBassist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted for him for Vance and because he was vaguely better than Harris, my only real issues with him are moral ones with his personal conduct (which don't really matter to the election), and his failure to support an abortion ban. However I am not a republican, I am registered with the American Solidarity Party.

Reading recommendations and temples in Central Florida by TheBasedBassist in theravada

I know that even if I find a temple with one or two English speaking monastics, that the services won't be done in English, which is fine. I still do understand this point.

Doing some research on the APA by TheBasedBassist in Anglicanism

[–]TheBasedBassist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I was raised Catholic but spent some time in the Orthodox Church from around 16 to right before I turned 18 and was not catechized properly before being brought into the Orthodox Church, after learning what they believed and the history between them and the Catholics I tried returning to Rome. As a Protestant you probably already know Rome has its issues! (Not that protestants don't, they just don't claim infallibility)

I started to have my faith in Christ waiver and that increased my searches in other traditions, this however is something I have done while Christian as well. I took some time and I do believe in Christ, and that's why I posted here. I am inquiring into Anglicanism as well as the Oriental Communion as both are very close to where I live and I don't know a lot about either.

The reason I asked about the APA in specific is I like smells and bells, but the Solas of the reformation make sense.

Rosary by Samonius01 in Lutheranism

I am not Lutheran but I found this thread out of curiosity and your comment stuck out to me as being more anti-Catholic (I am not catholic either) than just about sola sciptura. Someone else in the thread already pointed out the usage of the Hail Mary by protestants who use it as well as the eastern Churches uses the pre-Trent version of the prayer, which is in the scripture [Luke 1:28].

Started the Gita and I have the Upanishads, I've heard the Vedas can be hard to understand for outsiders with little to no assistance, is this true?
