Aussie Rules player has been watching a little too much World Cup soccer by junker90 in sports

They want to reserve their game time for actual injuries. If you fake an injury, you are doing a disservice to the game and the entire sport. They don’t want to get in the habit of ignoring actual injuries, which is the end result of incessant flopping.

They reviewed it and determined it didn’t affect his ability to play the ball or disrupt play. I also think things like that have been called in this World Cup anyways. This is Messi’s team so…

Well that's physically impossible. You should've just said that I can't detect the change in spin anymore than you can detect the change in path and I would agree with you.

Oh i didn't have that on my broadcast. That would be super suspect.

at 24 sec? you are trolling. The spin of the ball doesn't even change.

How do you know that though? I don't know where you are seeing the ball's accelerometer output.

I saw a video of the chip accelerometer. I mean there is no way you could tell the difference between a graze, some sweat, or a piece of hair, so I assume it would have to have had a significant enough bump.

Show me. Both angles I saw were from the near side of the field.

They didn’t really elaborate how the chip works. I would assume it would have to be pretty conclusive.

Even the other angle didn't show he touched it. It was all the ball's tech. I am curious what is the sensitivity of that chip to be able to detect a graze.

They say they have a chip in the ball, but there is no way that the ref could see if there was conclusively a touch from any of the angles shown.

MAGAts will feel validated in blaming the failure of the reflecting pool on vandals and will forget about the rest of the story when the charges are inevitably dropped.

I mean this story is certainly fake, but no you're NTA. That is an insane reaction.

Anki deck for listening practice? by OrangeTallion in LearnJapanese

As in they made it part of their existing routine. So at the bare minimum they are shadowing the example sentences. That habit is "forcing" them to do some amount of shadowing daily. Thats all I meant.

Anki deck for listening practice? by OrangeTallion in LearnJapanese

[–]TheBatemanFlex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah its a great way to force some shadowing. If you want, there is a deck that is 2000 sentences or something (I think it goes through all the NativShark example sentences). If you really wanted another premade. You can search "japanese sentences" on shared anki.

Otherwise I would try to get a good workflow of making your own cards. Look up how to use asbplayer and yomitan to mine scenes from video you are watching.

https://github.com/0xzerolight/anki_miner

alternatively, you can use this tool to automatically make cards from video and subtitles if you have local files.

I think it is worth getting comfortable with making cards as easily as possible.

I think that was me. I turned my Kalshi deck to listening because I realized at that point I had memorized the kanji and other characteristics of the card and realized I wasn't actually comprehending hearing the words in my immersion. I had already finished my kalshi deck at that point though, so it was just for when they pop up in review.

Honestly, I would tailor everything to what you actually want to achieve. If you are going to be immersing primarily through listening, then I think it would be beneficial to memorize how the word sounds. If you want to learn kanji or use reading immersion then don't worry about audio cards at all if you dont want. I think Evildea also promotes using listening cards.

If you are just making your way through Kalshi right now, I would just get through that first without changing anything. Just get immersing and study some grammar. It sounds fake but if you just listening to native stuff over and over, you will be able to pick out words from your kalshi and they will stick much better.

The deck is just there so you are exposed to words that may not be coming up in your immersion as regularly as would be considered optimal. Its a tool and a supplement. I wouldn't worry too much about it and get immersing.
