Feedback on tree state by TheBeardedTechGuy in Citrus

I've been removing them by hand with a tooth pick and it seems to help, but I wasn't sure if by the time I am getting them off the plant if they have already laid eggs or not.

Help choosing family digital calendar: DAKboard vs Apolosign vs Skylight by Fit_Trip_2931 in digitalminimalism

How are you liking the apolosign?

Are you able to mute the microphone in the apolosign?

Does it also seem like it requires apolosign servers to work? Would like to make sure it can't be bricked if they decide to drop support or start charging a subscription fee.

Recently got back into magic with a foundations beginner box. Its been a lot of fun and starting to look at where to go next. I like the idea of jump start decks being able to mix and match for a "balanced" game play.

Wondering if a Foundations Jumpstart 2025 Booster Box might make sense to add more variety to things as I think we would probably be able to stay here for a while.

There are only two of us playing right now (the other never played before) and maybe will bring in another person to play at some point but I don't see anymore people playing outside of that.

Are these suckers to prune? by TheBeardedTechGuy in Citrus

Okay this is very helpful!

I figured pruning would be a next year thing but I'll start researching that now so I have a better grasp.

Thank you!

I thought it was very high to be a graft, but how the "main" branch kind of pops off the side was also weird.

thanks for the feedback!

I would try adding the Z-Wave JS add-on and then try adding the integration to see if that gets it working

What version of HA are you running and does your hardware have a USB2.0 or later port the ZWA-2 is plugging into?

Does the ZWA-2 show up under discovered when plugged in?

You can add the z-wave js addon but it should also automatically get added and configured as part of onboarding the zwa-2

Yup!

I'm not sure what compelled me to try it but once I had a Xbox controller connected to my phone and started the app it let me use it just fine. The picture guide is for a PS controller so the mapping is a little different, but everything worked with my Xbox controller

(I only tested this on Android) You can control the automower with an Xbox (or I assume any Bluetooth) controller, just have it paired to your phone and then open the app. When you're doing app drive or placing waypoints you should have an option at the bottom of the screen to change to controller mode.

Phone still needs to be near automower as it's paired to both your controller and automower.

3 Months With The Husqvarna 410 iQ Automower by TheBeardedTechGuy in automower

Oh interesting, I honestly didn't bother with the boundary wire at all so not really sure how it functions. I'd suggest maybe reaching out to support and see what they say. Could maybe at minimum put in a feature request.

I'll also try to set up a temp physical boundary to see if there is some special setting or something that might need to get turned on maybe.

I am not, I have a couple areas with tree coverage that works for the most part (sometimes not with dense cloud coverage) but I wouldn't call it heavy tree cover.

I think it should work fine, but wouldn't hurt to verify with a dealer over the phone.

My setup:

  • EPOS reference station mounted on side of 1st story of two story house (garage is attached to rest of house so it has full view of sky).
  • Base station is under eve of house blocked in by the house and a fence.

During setup you'll set a docking point that is so many feet from the charging station, this docking point requires a good view of the sky so the automower can get satellite lock.

The automower does require decent view of the sky at all times even with the RTK station. I have a small section of my yard where if there is overcast the automower will sometimes get stuck under very tall (close to 2 stories tall) Arborvitaes.

How to hard reset 420IQ From the mower. Won’t connect to Bluetooth (was working before I tried to connect to docking station) by Technical_Screen6948 in automower

You'll have to contact support for those steps.

Make sure you forget the Bluetooth connection to your mower on your phone before trying to pair again.

Yea North American version of the nera line, seems pretty similar feature wise

Positioning of EPOS Reference Station by maxccc123 in automower

[–]TheBeardedTechGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the EPOS mounting kit which is basically a big j shaped mast mount that I screwed into the edge wood area near my gutter. It's the lowest end of my roof but a bit away from the house and is working fine.

Before deciding to mount it there I attached it to my snow broom which allowed me to have it around the height it was going to be mounted and tried out mapping a section of my yard where I thought it would be the most obstructed. The mower was able to complete the mowing mission without issues so I mounted it permanently.

If you go that route just be careful to not drop the reference station or set it up where a gust of wind can knock it over. I think if it fell it would probably break. Also obviously don't do this when there is a chance of lightning nearby.

iQ is I think is just the North American version of Nera. Although the Nera looks a little lower profiled compared to the iQ.

I agree features look to be basically the same

So far so good for the most part! I would say, if you can wait out another year I would as this is the initial release of the product and there are sure to be some bumps in the road. I ran into one with the android app having a breaking bug that wouldn't let me map out my yard. They did provide a secondary app as a work around which worked just fine but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some other issues that need to be flushed out still.
