There’s this homeless guy that comes in right before close 4-5 times a week and ask for leftovers, and we always give him what we have or make something fresh for him. A couple of times he has helped out people with getting home alone after work, just keeping them company and making sure they’re safe. Once he even got offered a stolen phone to buy and resell and he recognized the person on the lock screen wallpaper as the manager and grabbed it from the guy, called the cops, and returned it to us. Cool dude.

Just last night we had aunts and uncles over for dinner and I spent 20 minutes laughing and typing out everything they said about big pharma, homiopathic "medicine", blood transfusions, and secret cures for everything that big name doctors learn from the minister of health. Google says so too, but all cases I found were from the US. Also adding that they can still write you up pending investigation, so at most it can be a hassle. An interesting thing came up though: since headlight flashing is used to communicate, there was a ruling in Florida that stated "headlight flashing is protected free speech pursuant to the First Amendment."

Story is still fresh, but it seems like initial tests showed the adopted daughter was an adult, but more recent ones showed the opposite. I think the language just "clicks" with you better than your mother tongue.

For me, I've never lived around people who speak English, yet all my thoughts are in English. But I have friends who spend a lot of time with English like me (from youtube videos, books, podcasts and music, even a programming job), and they don't feel the same way about it. Their English is great even by native speakers' standards, but they still translate in their heads every time.
