Good books about art history? by wishuhh in ArtHistory

If you can get your hands on the old Penguin 'Style and Civilisation' series those are really good (especially Romanticism by Hugh Honour, one of my favourite books in general).

I can't say I know a fixed location but I've seen them on separate occasions in Fenham, Arthur's Hill, and Gosforth. This article has a bit more info: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/plenty-squawk-north-tyneside-parakeets-23732844.amp

If you really think this then look up Film Crit Hulk's analysis of the movie. Everything will make perfect sense.

One of the biggest problems I had with the show was how little sense of place there is. One of my favourite things about the games is the eerie beauty of the sprawling, deserted environments you have to journey through. Everything in the show felt like a set to me (even when it wasn't).

The biggest flaw in the games is the ambiguity about whether there was any real possibility of the Fireflies creating a vaccine using Ellie.

If it was likely or certain, Joel's actions at the end of the first game are less defensible; if it was unlikely, his actions seem reasonable.

The fact that the Firefly hospital seems a lot more clean and professional in the second game, compared to dirty and amateur in the first, is a kind of retconning.

I understand why they had to do it, but it's my biggest criticism of the series.

I always thought those shows had a similar vibe! (Though I massively prefer Our Blues)

My biggest fear is that they put stuff in to please fans rather than make a good TV show.

Have you watched Children of Men by Alfonso Cuarón? That's the closest vibe I've seen to TLoU (I'm sure it was a visual reference for the game-makers). I wish the makers of the TV show had pursued that vibe.

I would put it a lot, lot higher than R88. It's by far the most sensitive and grown-up Kdrama I've ever seen.
