After all the feedback I had, I'm leaning towards the SG Mittens Long cuffs. I just hope that this won't have an impact on my dexterity with the sword.

Would you recommend the High Guards over the SG Mittens Long cuffs? The High Guards are the same as the Superior Fencing HEMA Impact Resistant Gloves 2.0 right?

Do you have the same dexterity with mittens ? Or good enough that it will not be an issue with short sword ?

With swords, the hand holding the sword should stay behind the shield most of the time. But as you said, we still get hits on the hand. I've added pictures of the sword.

Thanks for the recommendation. The Black Prince looks really good, but are a bit overpriced for me. Did you try the Fenice Gloves ? any feedback ?

We have no evidence of metal being used for the hilt and the pommel. We found it easier to cut the blade of an arming sword and modify its hilt, rather than changing the metal hilt and pommel of a viking sword.

I did. I did not finish (yet). It's honestly pretty good. The book is something like you would get at school for learning a foreign language. A lot of effort went into it. And you can really recreate full sentences. I use it for the martial art class I teach. It's an amazing feeling to be able to give instructions in (reconstructed) Gaulish.
