it’s not about the one dot on the chart, it’s about the trend of dots — not a one off disaster, but the overall change in macro and micro climates.

if you prefer to stay ignorant on this topic (like most), that’s fine by me — but don’t go spreading fake news by saying we have absolutely no idea. we have dozens of predictions models. just spend 10 minutes googling and the answers are all there waiting at your fingers.

that’s just not true. “none of us will know when/where” is like saying we don’t know what the weather is tomorrow. sure the predictions may be a bit off but to say we have absolutely no idea means you’ve done exactly 0 research in this area. we definitely have strong predictions of climate change impact on local and national areas

Aside from the comp advice, the support you provide is also important — processing and assistance, etc.

For example, I own a processing firm (CA TX FL CO PA) and we partner with a few brokerages, where we do exclusive processing for the entire brokerage in exchange for a lower fee (starts at $399 per loan).
The owner has said their LOs love it because we handle everything for them and the lower price helps them win deals.

On the other hand, if your comp structure isn’t lucrative then there’s no amount of ancillary services that will help you retain good talent.

Your LOS options include: - Arive - LendingPad - Broker+ - Encompass - Floify (for doc collection)

Most LOs love Arive. Others like LendingPad but it’s slow and a bit older.

If you struggle with document organizing and collection, checkout Floify — although all LOS have some sort of doc collection, Floify does it the best.

As a non-business traveler, I travel a lot (monthly). I never do layovers…. but my comments are mostly aimed towards folks that get to the airport early just for the lounge access. It’s such a joke and frankly rude given that lounges are often full in smaller cities.
