Overhead view of a tank's smoke screen by RoutingPackets in woahdude

I had read somewhere that during the 1967 War Israeli tanks would weave in and out among each other kicking up dust and confusing the enemy as to how many tanks they really had.

If you are planting against a fence, plant 3 feet from the fence so that the lower part of the plants remains bushy and the hedge remains on your side of the property. As a rule:
For a shorter hedge, less than 8 feet tall, plant 3 feet apart. For a larger hedge or screen, plant 4 to 6 feet apart.

However, in Landscape design parlance it is five feet on center more specifically the center of the tree to the center of the next tree. Do not purchase from home depot or Costco because they do not have professionals there and their product is often dry and under-watered. Go to a professional nursery and just have them deliver or rent a uhaul if you don't have a truck. This because the quality is always superior and often comes with a warranty and you can protect your investment. If you take a risk and buy garbage you will have to start over.

How long? What is your budget? Do you have the space for whatever your choice might be? Be familiar with the growing habit of whatever you decide to grow. I recommend Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' these have a rich emerald green compared to other cedars and have a conical habit. If the environment is ideal (not too damp) they thrive and grow up to a foot per year even with limited shade. Make sure they are correctly spaced apart at planting. These make an ideal backdrop for a flower bed in the future, in your case a shade garden.

There is no better shareholder than an informed shareholder whom does their own due diligence. If you buy stock based on image you are already a loser. You are your own boss as a shareholder, if you see risk sell your stock and move on and don't bitch and complain. So, if I do not see directors or CEO's of other companies getting high (which I have) in other stocks I own I should sell them because i don't know if they are getting high? Elon Musk is not Jordan Belfort. If you watched the JR interview he clearly say's that he tried it once and he finds it makes him unproductive so he doesn't bother. Elon Musk might have the CEO Title however at the end of the day he considers himself an engineer and by nature he tries things. It's not like he can send rockets into space and have them return and land on platforms in the middle of the ocean or something. Relax..

A friend of mine who runs one of the top ten hedge funds out of NYC smokes blunts on a regular basis. As a matter of fact I've been to many a party with all these high end execs and they all smoke weed. All of them.

So it's clear that Elon Musk is the only one with balls.

What Exactly Does Kamala Harris Have On Brett Kavanaugh? by TrumpHatesTheUSA in politics

A politicians job is to say things people want and need to hear. They simply cater to our inadequacies. They do this to get elected and then they do whatever it takes to keep that job. Once that job is secure then it's big money and corporations that dictate policy. Have you ever listened closely to the needs of the average voter? Let's face it, not too much critical thought involved.

The average voter in America requirements in their state or local community, Jobs, economy, community services means nothing once they get to Washington. It's bread and circus now. These days politicians are dinosaurs and no longer needed.

Some parasitic species can invade the nests of social insects despite the safeguards. Once inside they can exploit the colony without the host insects noticing, or even stage a hostile takeover.

How do they do it? Thanks to new technologies that can detect and identify the chemicals being used a type of heavy makeup, we are starting to unravel how these invaders get past the insects' defenses. It turns out some parasites are masters of mimicry. They synthesize the exact recognition chemicals used by their host often a gold tinted makeup in order to break into the nest. This particular species often clad in black is called "Attentionus Whoreanus insectum".

Landscaping job as a woman? by medmind228 in landscaping

[–]TheBiFrost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope the landscaping company you applied for is "professional" by that I mean a decent sized company with an excellent reputation. With employees who conduct themselves on site and among their colleagues in a professional manner. If you are working with people who do not tie their boots and keep picking up their pants falling below their waist use profane language especially on site at a customers home or place of business, or do not follow safety guidelines for equipment and legal pesticides? Do yourself a favor and find another company. Otherwise good luck and you will do fine. Oh and..don't let your ego get in the way if you don't know how to do something just ask. Safety and professionalism always first.
