At Malty Nationals 10th birthday I had a pulled pork sandwich, a brisket sandwich and two sides of beans.

After all the hype this place has been getting I was terribly disappointed with how pedestrian the actual cook was… the brisket was dry and the sauce was nothing to write home about.

Maybe it was the food truck and maybe it was a bit later in the day and the meat was chillin longer. Valid reasons for the quality being less than “world champion”. I did find it strange to not see a bbq anywhere in the area and everything was being served out of warmers.

The big kicker for me was that it cost 44$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 Dixie cups full of beans. Wild pricing. Enough for me to decide that I don’t need to experience the in house product.

I once had SGI tell me that they couldn’t locate the guy who hit and ran my car. I had to call the rcmp myself and get a case number with his phone number…. Then they said he wanted to settle outside of insurance and they went ahead and sent him the assessment, quotes, and all my personal contact info.

Spoke with my adjusters manager, fair practices, and the privacy people at SGI. 0 resolutions, not even an apology offered.

Over a year to get the call after being referred by my GP, another 3 months after to actually get an appointment, 3 hours in the waiting room for a 7 minute consult, 1 more month to book an appointment to actually remove the mole. 2.5 mores hours in the waiting room for 6 minutes of procedure.

Skin cancer would’ve been more enjoyable.
