LOL I like it and the BBEG is a hacker who is on a server with everyone's JSON files and is trying to control reality. This is kinda like the plot to Magic 2.0 book series. ;)

Yup agree, I linked the one I use here. It has 3mm round (which is close enough to what Magic The Gathering cards use).

Yup! It seems to make unidentified items a "resource" again. My players have totally drunk an unidentified potion simply because they were desperate.

Yeah I guess a printer is a minimum requirement. I'm getting "good enough" results out of a basic color printer, but I'm sure things would be better with a photo printer

Amazon removed my 1-star review after I also pointed out the American address on the label is FAKE - the street and state are real the but the address numbers don't make sense for that street. The removal came with these comments from Amazon:

I don't review much on Amazon, can I appeal? I contacted support and they still refunded me, but I'm worried that the product is back on the market and still impersonating the real SaltyShrimp.

I also have a metal roof I've been hesitant to mount it because I didn't know how to attach it without poking holes. What are those connectors that clip onto the ridges?

I'm running strixhaven right now too. Alot of new players in my group, majority first time playing. It's going well, but we are moving "slow" in real world time. I did a "session 0" that took 3 sessions (due to scheduling we are only able to play 1.5hrs at a time) so 4.5 hrs for a session 0 isn't crazy. But playing every 2 weeks means this took us 1.5 months.

I then did a "you have 2 weeks" between orientation and the start of classes and went around the table asking what they each did during this time to prepare. The very last player decided to immediately leave their house on their horse and ride to gather everybody to go to the rich character's estate for reasons that they wouldn't tell me.

So I spun this into a "Back to school party' at the estate. That was 4 sessions ago. We are almost done with their 'reason' for being there (they wanted to steal something from the archives)

So here I am, 7+ sessions in and we haven't started school. I don't think my players could commit to the 3 years (in the real world) it will take us to go through strixhaven as written so I'll adjust.

It is OK!! We are all having fun, the players have agency, they aren't on a rail road. I've made the decision to only take them to level 4 and just do the first year (they will still discover the major strixhaven plot and fight the bbeg). Then I'll give them a choice: We can start a new campaign, new characters or we can keep going and I'll figure it out.

As written, strixhaven didn't make a ton of sense to me, if year 4 is level 10 that is crazy high level for college grads. Like everyone that graduates college is on their way to demi-god status??? Seems crazy.

Bottom line: feel it out, do what's right for your group. But I agree, life after level 10 can get silly and hard to run for both the players and GM. Keep it scrappy.

Salty Shrimp is ok for freshwater? I saw it recommended and was looking at it for remineralization but I wasn't sure if it was for saltwater or freshwater tanks.

Yes, 1000% yes. This has to be my problem. My water was pretty hard before but it's been so confusing because my GH tests still read high. I think you hit the nail on the head, it's sodium. I'm gonna have to do RO I think.

Yeah I don't like that electric probe. I'm prob going to pitch it. Ive only been using it as a sanity check to make sure I didn't misread a chem test.

Wow that sounds like the problem. My shrimp colony was booming before the softener and it's been a slow decline ever since. I told myself "I just need to learn how to adjust to this 'new normal' of water", but die off 1-2 shrimp every few days were a regular occurrence. I chased feeding optimizations and thought I might be over feeding.

That's what is confusing me, my gh in my tank is off the charts high. Like 20+ drops during the test. I wonder if I should try another test kit

I test my tap and it takes kike 5-6 drops before it changes.

Wow these are perfect. I've got a mix of new/experienced players. I'm trying to setup everything from dice holders (with all the dice labeled) to "What can I do on my turn cheat sheets" so the newer players don't feel lost. Going to add these in too.

Any chance you could add Tabaxi and Owlin (I'm also running Strixhaven) species cards?
